Microsoft launches new platform for vaccine management

Microsoft launches platform, that includes mobile app, for vaccination processes administration and management.

Since the beginning of the pandemic Microsoft has developed and implemented several projects to support the management of the public health emergency. This time they have announced a new digital platform for assistance in vaccination processes.

Microsoft has introduced Microsoft Vaccination Management that will enable governments and public health agencies, as well as other healthcare organizations such as hospitals, pharmacies, etc. to develop vaccination sites for scheduling vaccination appointments, to automate mass vaccination and achieve more orderly and efficient processes.

“enables governments and public health agencies, healthcare organizations, and vaccination sites—including hospitals, retail pharmacies, and mobile clinics—to set up and manage vaccination sites, inform the public, schedule vaccinations, automate mass vaccination sites, and monitor outcomes,” Microsoft explained in their statement.

The portal offers support for front-line workers in the vaccination process and also assists care providers along the way. Through Microsoft Vaccination Management, it is possible to manage all vaccination logistics, appointment scheduling, user registration and access to records, all from a mobile application.

In addition, it provides information to improve the process as the situation develops, since it allows tracking the progress of vaccination, as well as recording adverse effects in people who have been vaccinated.

The application is based on three axes: registration and scheduling, vaccine administration, insights and reporting.
