The World Health Organization (WHO) published the "Planning of pilot projects and other programmatic research for a successful expansion" as part of ExpandNet.
In this publication, WHO talks about the frequent problems that exist when implementing projects and program interventions, and how to achieve the successful implementation of the project from the pilot test to the successful expansion of the project.
One of the main causes for which a successful implementation is not achieved is because the pilot tests begin with contributions and support that cannot subsequently be sustained.
This publication shows 12 recommendations to consider about the design of the pilot projects and how to consider from the beginning the extension, the checklist that allows to have an overview on the scalability of the planned, proposed or in the process of implementation.
