In order to achieve equitable access to the tools offered by the new Information and Communication Technologies, the International Telecommunications Union conducted an investigation to analyze, together with public institutions, the environment in the Digital Health ecosystem, as well as its Challenges and advances.

In order to provide all the countries in the world with the necessary technological tools and thus improve the quality of health services, it will be necessary to pay attention to the following aspects:

• Understand the current status of each situation
• Analyze risk factors
• Identify good practices
• Identify future challenges
• Develop guide manuals and recommendations
• Implement national strategies and programs
