Argentine computer company has provided a mobile diagnostic center (MDC) to the frigate ARA Libertad, located at the Apostadero Naval Buenos Aires.
The Manager of Social Responsibility and Sustainability of the computer company EXO Fernando González, delivered a CDM, which will be incorporated for the next training trip to the frigate ARA Libertad.
This CDM, which will ease remote diagnostics, it is a complete telemedicine tool, with an integrated notebook, that allows carrying out echocardiography, respiration, heart rate, blood pressure, oximetry and surface temperature studies.
In addition, the data of the studies performed are transferred in real time through a Wi-Fi connection or through a mobile or satellite telephone network.
This technology is designed so that crew members can perform medical studies in case of any emergency and transfer them to a specialist remotely and in real time. It also provides the opportunity for videoconferencing.
The technology company's staff will train healthcare personnel so that they can get involved and incorporate the CDM in the best way possible.
