CASALUD is presented as a success story to achieve Universal Public Health Coverage

Within the framework of the 2019 Global Meeting of the Joint Learning Network for Universal Health Coverage (JLN), the Carlos Slim Foundation presents the CASALUD digital platform as a success story to reach the best levels of care and universal coverage in terms of diabetes, hypertension, obesity, dyslipidemia and renal failure.

The event that takes place in the Kingdom of Bahrain, aims to share best practices and experiences that allow to achieve Universal Coverage in Public Health.

The integral model CASALUD was selected and recognized as a case of success in the implementation of models in the care and proactive prevention of chronic diseases.

The Dr. Héctor Gallardo, Director of Operational Solutions of Carlos Slim Foundation, noted that the Digital Health it is the most powerful lever to promote and achieve sustainable development goals and in particular universal coverage.

CASALUD uses a robust digital platform that allows personalized attention through intelligent systems to improve co-responsibility among health personnel, the patient and their family in health care.

Es por ello, que a través de CASALUD a comprehensive model has been found that provides certainty, quality and anticipatory opportunity in the prevention and care of diabetes, hypertension and other chronic diseases.

In this edition of the Joint Learning Network for Universal Health Coverage, the Health Digital is considered a change agent to transform health systems in the world and extend health coverage to more than 3 billion people worldwide.

The global meeting calls representatives from the 34 member countries of the network and development partners to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing universal health coverage.

From Carlos Slim Foundation, we are contributing to the transformation of health services in Mexico, with avant-garde models and developments, based on the Health Digital. Our health programs are aimed at generating solutions that help solve the problems of the most unprotected populations in the Latin American region and other parts of the world, so that more people live longer and better.
