The Virtual Campus for Public Health (VCPH) of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) added new free access self-study courses for health professionals.
PAHO's VCPH is an educational platform whose purpose is to promote the development of health workers in the region of the Americas. It is a decentralized network of academics, professionals, institutions, and organizations that share their knowledge through open access courses on topics relevant to the public health situation in the region.
In this sense, the CVSP offers self-study courses, courses with tutoring, courses focused on specific countries, courses in convocation and other educational materials from previous courses. All content is free.
Thus, at the end of January, the CVSP announced the addition of more than 15 new self-study courses to your platform. Among them the following stand out:

- Respectful maternal and neonatal treatment
- Comprehensive health of adolescents
- Environmental cleaning and disinfection in health establishments
- Self-care for frontline emergency responders
- Estimated per capita alcohol consumption in the Americas
- Early diagnosis of cancer in children and adolescents
- Basic course of prevention and control of multiresistant infections in the hospital
Most of the courses are available in Spanish and English, and some are also available in French and Portuguese.
