ITS Pánuco presented Telemedicine Project at the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas

Academic body of the Higher Technological Institute (ITS) of Pánuco presented a telemedicine project at the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (UAT) during a linkage event with various universities.

The ITS Pánuco located in the north of the state of Veracruz, reported that the telemedicine project was presented to the ICT, Education and Health academic body of the Faculty of Medicine of the UAT, which is led by Dr. Arturo Llanes.

In December 2019, the article "Design of a Telemedicine network" was published by ITS Pánuco Computer Engineering students. In this they concluded that "The success of the implementation of telemedicine in rural areas is closely related to the selection of the appropriate technology to use, considering the technological resources it has."

During the event at the UAT, representatives of the ITS Pánuco explained that the purpose of presenting the project is to complement the institute's innovation in telecommunications through the medical experience of the UAT. And of this to achieve that both academic bodies converge for the development of the project: "Implementation of telemedicine in Mexico for the benefit of the students of the Bachelor of Medical Surgeon".

This project seeks to have research teachers trained in telemedicine issues and also has the purpose of contributing to the medical service in rural areas of the region shared by the states of Tamaulipas and Veracruz.
