British publisher BioMed Central invites health specialists to publish content focused on Digital Public Health.
Technological advances and their rapid expansion throughout the world have an impact on daily life. Such is the case with health: the way in which it is perceived, applied, analyzed and tended to.
Currently, many electronic devices have been incorporated into health care, for example, wearablesapps, digital platforms and even 3D printing for prostheses and orthoses. Their implementation in different areas of health has led various organizations to focus on talking and publishing on the subject, as does the Spring Nature subsidiary, BioMed Central..
On this occasion, the publish a call to participate with articles that address issues such as digital interventions and their applications in medical care and public health, as well as any investigation that adds value to the topic of Digital Health interventions regarding usual care.
The journals currently participating in this call are Archives of Public Health, Globalization and Health and International Journal of Health Geographics.
Some of the topics considered in this edition are:
- Technological support of essential public health operations.
- Public health interventions and disaster risk reduction using mobile technologies.
- Serious games and digital narration.
- Citizen science, participatory surveillance and crowdsourcing.
- Internet of things / sensors.
- Big data modeling and machine learning.
