The Chilean Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AGCID) has offered through Ministries of Latin American countries, scholarships with funding to take the course on fundamentals of telemedicine, telehealth and clinical applications.
AGCID offers the II International Course on Fundamentals of Telemedicine, Telehealth and Clinical Applications, which aims to: "Describe the fundamentals, concepts and processes associated with the development of Telemedicine and Telehealth, to analyze and implement scenarios of clinical applications, within the framework of the new paradigms and challenges associated with health care, in the context of the current global health crisis".
In addition, through this postgraduate course, the aim is for students to create a proposal for the implementation of a service or provision through telehealth. Always taking into account the specific needs of the communities where the proposal will be applied.
The course will be conducted online, and the funding of this scholarship covers the entire cost of the postgraduate course. The course will begin on August 2 and will end on September 30, 2021. Applicants can send their applications until June 28.
The requirements for applicants are as follows:
- Professional experience in the area of health, engineering or other related areas and that they are in possession of a Bachelor's degree and/or a Professional Degree.
- It is desirable that they work in relevant institutions in telemedicine, telehealth and digital health.
- Be a citizen of the country in question and be a resident of that country.
- Be appointed by their respective governments in accordance with the procedure indicated in the General Information (G.I.) of the Course, paragraph XII: Application Process.
- Have access to the Internet for at least 8 hours per week for online classes.
