Chihuahua launches Digital Health app to provide information on COVID-19

A smartphone app and a specialized website to track possible cases of COVID-19 in the state.

Through the Secretariat of Health, the Government of Chihuahua developed and made available to the population the mobile application "Digital Health", whose objective is the monitoring and recording of COVID-19 cases in the state.

The application requires a pre-registration, in which the user must enter their mobile number to verify their data. Upon registration, the application will yield a questionnaire in order to record suspicious cases of COVID-19 among the population, so it will be necessary to enter name, age, zip code, medical service and membership number.

In addition to the basic data, the questionnaire includes questions such as: How many people live in the home of the suspicious case? Have you had contact with confirmed or suspected cases? Symptoms you have and other conditions.

The Government ensures that the information is classified automatically and depending on the responses the application will show a semaphoreization, showing recommendations according to the risk situation it presents.

Regarding suspected cases, doctors of the Secretariat of Health, and psychologists of the Institute of Mental Health will be notified to follow up on the patient and provide medical services in a timely manner if required.
