Nuance, a Microsoft company specializing in the development of conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI), has agreed a partnership with The Health Management Academy.
Microsoft's Nuance announced the launch of the AI Collaborative, an initiative for healthcare systems specialists, which aims to promote the implementation and application of AI tools in healthcare. This initiative was launched in conjunction with the company The Health Management Academy, also known as The Academy.
AI applied in health care has the potential to be an important element in clinical decision making, in facilitating the work of professionals and in planning health strategies.
Given the growth of AI solutions, AI Collaborative seeks to be a space that connects clinical and operational executives of companies that develop this type of tool. Its opening will be in September 2022 and in 2023, the first annual summit will be held, which will include the participation of industry leaders, and topics such as digital strategies, clinical transformation, among others.
“Our members have expressed a desire to have a dedicated space to explore AI in healthcare and its enormous potential to improve clinical workflow and outcomes,” said Renee DeSilva, Executive Director of The Academy. “
In the long term, this collaboration seeks to take advantage of cloud technologies and AI, to improve patient outcomes and reduce fatigue and exhaustion of health professionals, in addition to having greater clinical safety.
“The AI Collaborative is able to bring together multiple technical, business and clinical stakeholders to prioritize the implementation of solutions for physician burnout, patient engagement and the financial stability of the healthcare system, while accelerating innovation in precision medicine, drug discovery, clinical decision support, and other promising use cases across the healthcare ecosystem.”
