WHO launched a chatbot on women's health, focused on breast cancer prevention

The World Health Organization (WHO) launched a women's health chatbot that includes information about Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The WHO created an interactive chatbot on women's health, which includes information and messages related to breast cancer, and breast cancer awareness month, celebrated in October each year.

The chatbot is available through the Viber messaging mobile app. Through this application, the WHO had created chatbots for the dissemination of information about COVID-19, mental health and how to quit smoking.

The chatbot will provide users who subscribe with information on how to reduce the risk of breast cancer, what the symptoms are and treatment options. Initially the chatbot is only available in English, Greek, Hungarian, Russian and Ukrainian.

Dr. Bente Mikkelsen, Director of the WHO Department of Noncommunicable Diseases, welcomed this new initiative: “I am delighted to see this new initiative to better inform women about breast cancer, now the most common form of cancer in the world. all the world. Knowing what to look for and when to seek care can literally save lives."

Similarly, the informative content will be updated in the coming months, and information on other health problems faced by women will be included.
