Jalisco uses digital solutions to bring breast cancer prevention and detection services closer

Since October of last year, the Jalisco Health Secretariat (SSJ) launched a strategy to strengthen actions against breast cancer and other types of cancer that affect women.

Last year, the Women's Cancer Program in the State of Jalisco (CAMUJAL) presented a website to locate the health centers closest to users, where mammograms are performed.

In October Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the government of Jalisco will promote breast self-examination and clinical examination in women between 25 and 39 years old and mammograms in women between 40 and 69 years old. The studies are free and safe.

Through camujal.site  Jalisco women can find the closest place to have a mammogram done. The directory shows all the medical centers and mobile health centers where mammograms are being or will be performed.

On the same site, it is possible to consult a summary of the results, by entering the user's name, date of birth and study ID.

Additionally, CAMUJAL has a virtual assistant called AIDE, through the WhatsApp messaging application. Users can add the following number to their contact book: 3317352825 and send "HELLO" to receive immediate attention. Or scan the QR code found on camujal if you.

In addition to appointments for mammograms or clinical breast examinations for cancer prevention, there are also appointments for Pap smears.

On October 13 from 5 to 6 PM, the SSJ will carry out a live broadcast on its social networks with breast cancer specialists and survivors: "How to survive breast cancer?".
