Google announced the mobile version of Care Studio

Google Health announced the launch of the Care Studio application, a Digital Health solution for organizing patient health data.

In February of this year, Google announced the launch of Care Studio, a tool specialized in the organization of complex health data, which seeks to facilitate the tasks of organizing patient information for health professionals.

Care Studio centrally displays a single view of patient data, such as outpatient events, lab tests, current treatments, and more. In addition, its interface allows you to visualize the data through tables and graphs. It is a solution that allows you to organize the clinical records of patients.

Now, Google has introduced the mobile version of this tool, which will benefit users by not requiring login from a computer to review data. “I'm very excited because one of the big challenges we see in the healthcare space for providers is context change. There is a lot of information to try to understand in the moment and make split-second decisions. Doctors have to do this all day,” Paul Muret, vice president of Care Studio, told MobiHealth News.

Google Health, on the other hand, explained the importance of having a mobile version: “The Care Studio mobile app makes it easy to find important information before seeing a new patient or quickly check on a patient's progress. It helps clinicians easily look up a patient record, review the latest medical notes, view a patient's lab trends, and more right from their phone."

Google seeks that, through the mobile application, access to patient data and information be much faster and help solve doubts immediately, either with the patients themselves or with other medical professionals.

Privacy of patient data

Muret explained that the Care Studio service is part of a commercial agreement, so patient data does not belong to the company. The contract with health service providers allows Care Studio to use patient data, only for the purpose of providing a service.
