Government and companies create the first Digital Health Center in Chile

Government and companies create the first Digital Health Center in Chile

The Digital Health Center aims to bring pharmaceutical warehouse and pharmacy services to regions and communes with less access to private pharmacies. The project seeks to gradually provide digital health services and drug sales to 50 districts in Chile.

The initiative was promoted by Impulsa Vichuquén, Teledoc, Fracción, a Chilean digital pharmacy that seeks to provide access to medicines to remote populations, and the Municipality of Vichuquén. It is in the commune of Vichuquén where the strategy of the Digital Health Center will be applied first, through free online medical care.

“One of our pillars as a company is to contribute to society by improving people's quality of life, bringing medicine closer to where patients are. And it is that telemedicine comes to democratize access to health, allowing virtual medical attention from any area of the country, even remote areas where there is a shortage of health professionals”, explained Claudia Arpón, CEO of Teledoc.

Through collaboration between public and private entities, it will be possible to provide telemedicine services, carry out remote diagnoses, connect the community with medical professionals, carry out measurements with immediate results, and promote access to medicines in remote areas of Chile.
