The World Health Organization (WHO) created this platform for medical professionals to obtain specific knowledge to respond to health emergencies.
OpenWHO is an interactive platform that offers free online courses on a wide variety of health topics, especially those to improve response to health emergencies.
The contents of the platform are open and free for access at any time from any device. In addition, it is the first platform that the WHO creates specifically for the training of professionals during health emergencies. OpenWHO "provides a fast and free way to obtain the latest scientific and operational knowledge," explains the WHO.
The platform also offers content downloads for offline viewing, materials include discussion panels and live briefings.
The same courses are offered in different languages and allow professionals to advance at their own pace. The WHO registers more than 5 million registrations in the courses.
To have access to the courses you only have to complete your registration in: https://openwho.org/account/new. Once registered, medical professionals can search for courses through filters by language, level of competence, keywords, among others.
