Peruvian hospital will implement telemedicine solutions as an effort to keep health care the forefront.

The new support hospital, San Martin de Porres, located in the Macusani district, Carabaya’s providence capital in Peru, entered service in January this year.

New hospital in Puno region in Peru will offer telemedicine-based services and electronic history record, to provide a more a complete health care to the people.

The new health center will benefit 73,946 inhabitants of the region, authorities reported, however, it is part of an ambitious project aimed at Peru’s bicentenary of independence.

With this project, the government seeks to widen the inequality gaps in in health sector and bring specialized health facilities to remote populations, as well as equip them with new technology and new services such as telemedicine.

In its inauguration were present the President of Peru, Martín Vizcarra and the Minister of Health María Elizabeth Hinostroza Pereyra, as well as the governor of Puno, Agustín Luque, who emphasized the importance of the new hospital for the region.
