The Pan American Health Organization evaluates Electronic Immunization Registries (EIRs)

To evaluate and provide recommendations on immunization records in low-income countries, in 2014 PAHO added to its DQS data measurement tool a configuration that would revolutionize it to become DQS Plus and thus give more weight to the evaluation of electronic immunization registries.

The usability of EIRS - also called digital vaccination schemes, in Latin America- was concluded by an analysis carried out by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

These registries were evaluated by the DQS Plus tool, a methodology that uses audits to generate a certification that supports the correct functionality of the registration, safeguarding and transfer of information processes.

When assessing the audit tool methodology, there were no significant drawbacks and, in contrast, the results provided advice on updating EIRs to strengthen data and increase its quality.

The next step is to digitize vaccination cards and share relevant data to provide a controlled organization to users; these provide the information of all your applications to be stored and protected in the cloud in order to be able to be consulted at any time and situation.

Currently, with cases like this one, it is clear that governments and private institutions are focused on finding the best ways for doctors in health care systems to start recording the background of all their patients so that information can be accessed digitally.
