Many mHealth technologies require an Internet connection to function fully. While the use of technology has increased dramatically worldwide in recent years, as of 2017, only 64.5% of the world's population has a mobile phone, while less than 50% have access to telephone services. Internet. These figures are worrisome, as disadvantaged groups may not be.

Health economists have highlighted that access to the internet services and its content depends on five factors: affordability, availability, accessibility, accommodation and acceptability.

The main objective of this general description is to study the impact of mHealth interventions in the management of chronic diseases among patients. Searches will be conducted using indexed terms and free text. The search terms will be adjusted for each electronic database.

All the studies identified by the search strategy will be evaluated according to the inclusion criteria. RefWorks, a reference management software, will help sort the data and duplicate publications will be eliminated. The titles and abstracts will be selected initially. Those who meet the eligibility criteria will move on to the next phase of the review. The full text of these studies will be obtained and read. Only studies that completely coincide with the inclusion criteria will be included in the final stage of the review. During the selection process, a Prism flow chart will be used to show the number of excluded studies at each stage of the selection process.
