Advances and innovations of Digital Health presented at CES 2022

Last week, one of the most important technology exhibitions of the year, CES 2022, was held in Las Vegas, where various innovations related to Digital Health were presented.

From January 5 to 8, CES 2022 was held, one of the most influential technological events in the world. At the event, large and small companies from various sectors of the technology industry presented new projects, products and innovations, including some related to Digital Health.

Most of the technologies presented at CES 2022 are related to health care from home and/or the use of mobile devices. Here are some of the advances in Digital Health presented during this important event:

face heart, a startup from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan, presented a breakthrough in Artificial Intelligence (AI) that measures vital signs.

FaceHeart's proposal is to measure metrics such as heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen level, stress index or respiratory rate, through the camera of a mobile phone.

The AI has been trained on more than 76 million data sets and has conducted clinical trials to measure efficacy.

Hoax, is a device to monitor the health of the lungs. It was developed by Breathings a Samsung Electronics company, which specializes in respiratory and lung health care.

The device is Bluetooth-enabled, and saves data on each inhalation and exhalation and provides personalized exercises based on each user's data.

EveryDose, is a mobile application to improve adherence to treatment and medication. This app creates reminders for patients to take their corresponding doses each day. In addition, it has conversational AI that can identify aspects of each patient that prevent their adherence to treatment.

This application is useful not only for patients but also for doctors, and entire health systems, since savings can be achieved in medications, hospitalizations and deaths related to medical treatments that involve daily doses of medication.

Onera Health, a Digital Health company, developed a wearable to support the diagnosis of sleep disorders. It is a patch with a chip that can perform a complete diagnosis of sleep disorders.

Withings, is a body scanning system that measures various variables such as vascular age monitoring, heart rate, and more. It is a system that can connect with mobile phones and provides specialized clinical care for each user. The company is seeking approval from the European Commission and the FDA.

These are just some of the most relevant advances in healthcare presented at CES 2022, which this year was held in a hybrid way, after last year's digital 100% event.
