Online conference on Digital Health tools and software for COVID-19 response

On Friday, March 27, Core Group hosted an online conference on the tools of Digital Health that have been used during epidemics and during this COVID-19 pandemic.

The first part of the conference was based on comments from experts of Digital Health, which showed how they applied these types of tools during the Ebola outbreak in Africa six years ago. They also demonstrated the different means of disseminating information among communities and database software to monitor confirmed cases.

They then presented Zenysis Technologies, a platform for collecting and analyzing data on viral diseases by geographic area. This platform has been used in Brazil during a pneumonia outbreak in various locations across the country. This way, the information is collected and recorded in the software for analysis, ensuring that public health decisions are guided and informed by accurate data.

In addition, the case of Sri Lanka against COVID-19 was also addressed (https://saluddigital.com/el-big-data/universidad-de-oslo-lanza-software-que-acelera-el-proceso-de-diagnostico-de-coronavirus/), which uses an open-source DHIS2 web platform for data collection and analysis to track cases by geographic area.

Another project presented was the Openideo initiative, which seeks to provide validated and reliable information to communities in these times of crisis. However, they will provide more information on April 7 at the following link: https://ideo.in/covidwebinar

Close to the final part, was the turn of another of the important propositions, THINKMD, in their response to COVID-19 (https://covid19.thinkmd.tech/#/start), have developed a personal triage, education and surveillance monitoring tool.
