Digital Health project won contest in Mexico

Latin America are producing Digital Health innovations in order to reduce gaps and focus on problems, diseases and ensure patient experience with expected results.

Thanks to Digital Health progress in Mexico, it was given a recognition to the digital platform Prothesia, which is responsible for calibrating and perfecting the way in which the orthoses and prostheses are implanted showing novel and satisfactory results

This software works with top 3D technology to scan and design specific devices for every patient. Through an algorithm analysis the platform allows to model and print the best options for the patient using a smartphone.

The system was recognized at the Everis Awards a space where Digital Health advances are shown.

The other awarded Projects that use advances technology to make significant changes in patients’ lives were:

  1. Nanotutt: Gel made from nanoparticles to treat chronic wounds such a as diabetic foot.
  2. HikeOn: A smartwatch bracelet that produces vibrations to reduce tremor and stifness caused by Parkinson’s disease.
  3. Hemograph: A mobile app capable of perform blood tests using a smartphone back camera.
  4. Maxi-Epoxi: A material for reconstruction of cranium and other bones wounds in a simple, aesthetic, reliable and permanent way.

 

According to World Health Organization (WHO), advances promoted by Digital Health are satisfactory to expand patients’ alternatives and that doctors could take advantage to strengthen their work.

Latin American countries are contributing to Digital Health global development.
