The Federal Health Secretariat (SSa), enabled a new website that updates the status and progress of vaccination across the country.
The new SSa site, replaces the vaccination section of coronavirus.gob.mx , and provides more detailed information on vaccination in the country by state, doses applied, doses received, downloadable documents for consultation, among other information.
“In order to address the information needs on vaccination against COVID-19 in Mexico, the site vacunacovid.gob.mx is now available, it contains real-time data on the progress of immunization in the country and by state, documents for consultation, news, vaccination schedule and prioritization of people to be vaccinated, among other ítems”, explained Ricardo Cortés Alcalá, general director of Health Promotion of the SSa, during an evening conference in May.
Through vacunacovid.gob.mx, it is possible to obtain information on the five vaccination stages set out in the National Vaccination Policy: medical personnel, people over 60 years of age, 50 to 59, 40 to 49 and the rest of the population.
In each stage it is possible to check the percentage of progress in the vaccination process. Currently, (June 14, 2021), 100% of front-line medical professionals have been vaccinated (1,200,507); 75% of older adults (10,968,261); and 63% of adults aged 50 to 59 (8,088,607).
The platform has an interactive map that shows each state and the number of doses that have been applied.
On the other hand, the SSa reported that as of June 13, 26,251,224 anti-COVID vaccine doses had been applied. This represents more than 15 million people vaccinated with a complete schedule and more than 11 million people vaccinated with new schedules.
As of June 14, Mexico has received 46,206,655 doses of COVID-19 vaccine. More than 17.5 million Pfizer doses, 12.2 million AstraZeneca’s, 8 million SinoVac’s doses, 4.6 million Cansino’s doses and 3.7 million Sputnik V doses, according to the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs.
