This publication is a response to the growing need for reliable data and indicators to help governments develop and monitor policies, ICT strategies, compare their progress with other countries, as well as adopt solutions for the use of significant and egalitarian of these technologies in the health sector.
Mobile technologies offer a wide range of intelligent modalities through which patients can interact with professionals and/or health systems. These technologies allow useful real-time feedback to guide health care, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and even monitoring.
Within Digital Health, the use of software and electronic devices operated by the new Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is critical to support measurement acquires and work capabilities to ensure duplication quality in health systems. Its progress is based on wireless connection to networks and their speed to deliver accurate results.
The contribution of institutions is important to generate public policies for a viable, inclusive, egalitarian and complete exercise. In this regard, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (Cepal) detonate a collection of data that accurately draws the access landscape for digital health using a survey with the following lines:
- Planning
- Work field
- Data Analysis
- Report preparation
- Publication and dissemination
The issue with this lies in how Latin American countries merge with Digital Health and its related benefits to their income level and how they obtain resources to carry out the practice.
Once the relevant funding modes, public policy progress and recent commitments made by WHO Member States are aligned, the future of the use of ICT in the health sector can be seen as lasting through valid and reliable measurements.
The following study summarizes a broader vision of the incursion of this new way of offering health services through statistics, comparison and advances in the field.
