The Telemedicine Route of the University of Caldas, in Colombia, will implement its care model in cities in France and Spain.
After 20 years of work by the University of Caldas in conjunction with other government agencies, and after successfully bringing medical care to remote areas of Colombia during the pandemic, its model will be replicated in Spain and France.
During the visit of the European Observation Mission Last May at the University of Caldas, they announced that the Caldas Telemedicine Route model would be used to bring telemedicine care to remote areas of France.
“For more than 20 years, the entire team has given everything so that projects go ahead and the community is the one that benefits the most in health matters, seeking to improve the quality of life, the opportunity in care and, above all, save lives through responsible use of technology”, explained Esteban Granada, director of Telehealth.
In Spain, the project, which includes the Government of Caldas, the Territorial Directorate of Health of Caldas and the University and its Telehealth section, will receive recognition for the efficient management of the pandemic in Colombia.
So far, more than a million people have benefited from the actions of Telesalud Caldas throughout Colombia and around 340,000 in Caldas alone.
