Province of Buenos Aires implemented COVID-19 vaccination certificate through mobile applications

The government of the Province of Buenos Aires in Argentina created a digital COVID-19 vaccination certificate to start the reopening of businesses with limited capacity.

In the province of Buenos Aires, businesses will be able to increase the permitted capacity by 20%, however, only if people have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. That is why the government implemented the COVID-19 vaccination certificate that can be obtained through the Vaccine PBA and Mi Argentina applications.

The digital certificate includes the same information as the printed card obtained when receiving the vaccine, that is, the name of the vaccine and brand, the place and date of application, the dose (first, second or single) and the batch number.

From July 26, certain businesses will be allowed to receive a greater capacity, as long as customers show the digital certificate or the physical certificate. However, it will be valid 21 days after receiving the immunization, when the vaccine has already taken effect.

The Vaccine PBA app is available from the following links on Google Play and the App Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.minsaludpba.vacunatePBA&hl=es_AR&gl=US and https://apps.apple.com/ar/app/vacunatepba/id1548211332.

On the other hand, authorities from the City of Buenos Aires explained that they will seek to implement a strategy similar to that of the province to promote vaccination.
