In addition, there are other attention centers in the faculties of psychology, and in the Faculties of Higher Studies of Iztacala, Zaragoza, Aragón, Acatlán and Cuautitlán, as well as in the National School of Nursing and Obstetrics and the General Directorate of Health Care.

On the importance of taking care of the mental health of students, the professor emeritus of the Faculty of Psychology, Juan José Sánchez Sosa, explained the following: "It is essential to protect them from adverse experiences and risk factors that can affect their ability to develop all their potential". We must focus more on the issue of health than on illness, because taking care of our mental health will lead us to have a satisfactory life, with good relationships, with a sense of well-being towards others and our lives.

The most frequent problems detected within the Clinic are depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicide attempts, violence, alcohol and substance use, borderline personality disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
