Government of Peru enabled the use of mobile app to validate vaccination against COVID

Since the beginning of December 2021, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) of Peru has enabled a mobile application to check vaccination against COVID-19.

Since December 10, the Government of Peru, through Supreme Decree No. 179-2021-PCM, made it official that people who enter closed spaces must present the vaccination card against COVID-19 physically or digitally through the app.

The mobile application is currently only available for devices with the Android operating system. "Vaccination Card" is the name of the app and is available at the following link:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=minsa.gob.pe.carnet_app.

Hernando Cevallos, Minister of Health, explained that the app will fulfill the task of verifying the authenticity of the vaccination test so that people enter closed spaces to carry out their activities.

When downloading the application, users must enter their data, such as date of birth, ID, among others. Later it will show the option to access the QR code, which contains the information of the digital vaccination certificate (CVD). In the same way, it is possible to download the CVD as an aravico, so that users can print it or simply save it on their devices.

The CVD contains personal data of the user, dates of the doses received, name of the vaccine, batch of the manufacturer of the vaccine and the place where the doses were applied.
