Spanish company completed a pilot project promoted by the National Telemedicine Center (Cenate) in Peru, related to hospital management and monitoring of COVID patients.
Peru's Social Security, known as EsSalud, manages Cenate, one of the largest telemedicine complexes in Latin America. The Cenate chose SIVSA, a Spanish company based in the city of Vigo, to carry out a pilot project for hospital information management and telemedicine monitoring. SIVSA's Hosix system was implemented at Cenate to remotely care for patients at all hospitalization levels.
The purpose of testing this technology was to apply it to the Villa Rebagliati Hospital, currently converted into a hospital specialized in patients with COVID-19.
The trial of this system was carried out during the month of July by means of a 48-hour monitoring method on previously selected patients. To start the pilot test, it was necessary to train health professionals in the use of this hospital management technology.
The data that was managed during this monitoring process was the admission process and the clinical discharge; electronic medical history and parameters for patient control, such as prescriptions, medical data, oxygen saturation levels and diagnostic tests.
The test demonstrated the effectiveness of this technological solution, ideal for preventing contagion within the workforce of health professionals who attend hospitals with COVID-19 patients.
The system is hosted on its own cloud storage system: Hosix Cloud. Which allows a connection to be established without the need for local servers and facilitates remote access and monitoring from complexes such as Cenate and remote health centers and patient homes.
