Argentina launched mobile app that links the patient to its service provider

The Ministry of Health in Argentina, through the Secretariat of Financial Administration and Health Management Systems and the General Directorate of Computer Systems and Communications, launched the “Fueguina Digital Health Application”, for the province of Tierra del Fuego.

The app works as a link between the people and the health service providers. Carlos Orozco, sub secretary o Informatic and Communication Systems, said that the app came through the digital health transformation strategy, implemented in Tierra del Fuego.

Salud Digital Fueguina, is the name of the app, and it has an identity validation system through the Digital Identity System of the National Registry of Persons (RENAPER), which allows the user to access securely.

The app available in AppStore and Play Store, gives access to digital records of the medical history, Access to the digital vaccination book and also has the option to manage appointments: take, cancel or reschedule.

In addition, it has other resources such as information about pharmacies, emergency lines, and general health information.

Orozco said that in "in the near future, more systems will be integrated to provide more and better digital services," she also said that digital transformation "represents a turning point in the health care of the fueguinos".
