To facilitate the vaccination process against COVID-19 the Ministry of Health will implement remote consultancies for nursing and medical teams, the topics will be on vaccination criteria, cold chain and adverse effects.
The Ministry of Health of Argentina will start a strategy to support the vaccination process against COVID-19 through tele-assessments to nursing and medical teams that will collaborate during the vaccination campaign. The tele-assessments will provide training to health personnel on aspects such as vaccination criteria, cold chain, registration and adverse effects.
The tele-counseling strategy began in February 2020 in a joint work of MINSAL with all the secretariats and sub-secretariats, training rounds for medical and nursing personnel. This week they began with experts from hospitals and national universities for the medical area, explained Judit Díaz Bazán, undersecretary for Quality, Regulation and Oversight at the COVID-19 conference offered by MINSAL.
The tele-counseling is part of the Activar program and includes forums, talks and athenaeums. For the vaccination program, they seek to answer doubts about the logistics and the process of applying the vaccine to participating health professionals.
The undersecretary explained that the efforts made for the continuous training of medical personnel follow a process within the National Vaccination Campaign against COVID-19, which includes this concept, in addition to logistics, proper triage and correct registration.
