Based on the challenges currently presented by the Health sector, an educational program is made available to Professionals that aims to professionalize the skills of experts through the use of technology.
The Open University of Catalonia (UOC) has launched an academic program that responds to the needs of different areas of the health sector. This program incorporates new technologies that evolve day by day, making use of technology as a common thread for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of interventions aimed at both health promotion and education for the healthy population, as well as diagnosis or monitoring of chronic and acute patients.
El mundo de la salud se transforma rápidamente y la Digital Health se vuelve tendencia. Los avances de la ciencia, aunados a un crecimiento de nuestra capacidad de cómputo, han coadyuvado para que se viva una explosión de nuevos dispositivos, herramientas, biosensores y métodos diagnósticos que, bien implementados, permiten la mejora de los servicios de salud.
En el Máster en Digital Health (eHealth), impartido a través de una plataforma online (no podía ser de otra forma), se busca que los profesionales de la salud adopten a la tecnología como un hilo conductor entre los pacientes y las distintas organizaciones prestadoras de servicios, para ayudar a conocerlos mejor, almacenando eficientemente su expediente o registro médico, y prestando mejores servicios que potencializan el diagnóstico, monitoreo y seguimiento.
It is expected that, in the course, these benefits will be the main focus, but without neglecting the need to sensitize both experts and society in general to overcome the natural resistance that occurs in the adoption process.
The Master is aimed at health professionals interested in the subject, and who carry out both care and non-care tasks.
The objective is to shine a light on important topics that can give professionals more training on the different digital tools.
Faced with this changing world, universities also change, thus maintaining the objective of having academic programs that not only position their university, but also join efforts to improve the quality of health services, and therefore the quality of life of the people, and society as a whole.
The digital format also allows the course to be taken from different parts of the world and to adapt to the needs and schedules of each person.
At the end, professionals will have a greater context of the demands of patients who ask for more and greater knowledge, and who seek better ways and technological tools to take care of their health.
