Several countries have used various mobility analysis techniques in their cities during the pandemic, through data provided by user information from Google, Facebook and Twitter, to measure and monitor physical distancing and modeling the spread of COVID-19.<\/p>

The research highlights the aggregation procedures for the different data collected through mobile phones. In addition, it promotes the privacy principles and data protection of users as a central feature for governments to develop policies through this type of analysis.<\/p>

As mentioned in the publication, the data used for this type of analysis provide an overview of mobility patterns and are important for measuring how efficient social distancing measures have been: \u201cData from mobile phones are being used around the world as part of the COVID-19 response, to map population movement, set parameters for disease transmission models, and inform resource allocation.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The data provided are always anonymously, they do not disclose information about users, however, they work for the development of epidemiological estimates. Through this type of analysis, it is possible to identify critical points of community transmission in specific geographical areas, which require different treatment of government resources, from inputs and medical infrastructure, to greater measures to restrict mobility.<\/p>

The study covers the two main types of CDR and GPS data. CDR (call detail records)<\/em>provide information related to the use of a SIM card, such as text messages, calls, and more. In this case the telephony tower provides the approximate location of the user at the time of a call. The GPS (Global Positioning System<\/em> ) system obtains data through smartphone information, such as the location that is recorded over the time the device has the location functions turned on. On this type of information, there are regulations to determine how they are used.<\/p>

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the use of this type of resources and data generated through mobile devices. As mentioned in the study, data forms valuable information, but in no experience the data cannot have the same impact: \"A shared language will allow us to synchronize future analyses with the limitations of each metric. Taken together, considerations provide information for policymakers and could inform epidemiological models about the physical distancing and spatial propagation of COVID-19. Combined with clinical and public health data, these metrics will play an important role in planning for distancing setbacks because they help estimate the effect of multiple setbacks on actual soil mobility patterns and, as a result, in the spread of the epidemic,\" they conclude in the study.<\/p>

La prestigiosa publicaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica de origen brit\u00e1nico, realiz\u00f3 un extenso estudio, titulado: \u201cMedir la movilidad para monitorear los viajes y las intervenciones de distanciamiento f\u00edsico: un marco com\u00fan para el an\u00e1lisis de datos de tel\u00e9fonos m\u00f3viles\u201d. Diversos pa\u00edses han utilizado durante la pandemia diversas t\u00e9cnicas de an\u00e1lisis de la movilidad en sus ciudades, a trav\u00e9s de datos proporcionados por informaci\u00f3n de usuarios de Google, Facebook y Twitter, para medir y monitorear el distanciamiento f\u00edsico y modelar la propagaci\u00f3n del COVID-19. La investigaci\u00f3n resalta los procedimientos de agregaci\u00f3n para los diferentes datos recolectados a trav\u00e9s de tel\u00e9fonos m\u00f3viles. Adem\u00e1s, promueve los principios de privacidad y la protecci\u00f3n de datos de los usuarios como una caracter\u00edstica central para que los gobiernos desarrollen pol\u00edticas a trav\u00e9s de este tipo de an\u00e1lisis. Los datos proporcionados son siempre de manera an\u00f3nima, no revelan informaci\u00f3n sobre los usuarios, sin embargo, funcionan para el desarrollo de estimaciones epidemiol\u00f3gicas. A trav\u00e9s de este tipo de an\u00e1lisis, es posible identificar puntos cr\u00edticos de transmisi\u00f3n comunitaria en zonas geogr\u00e1ficas espec\u00edficas, que requieren un diferente tratamiento de los recursos de gobierno, desde insumos e infraestructura m\u00e9dica, hasta mayores medidas de restricci\u00f3n de la movilidad. El estudio contempla los dos principales tipos de datos CDR y GPS. Los CDR call detail records, en espa\u00f1ol registro detallado de llamadas, proporcionan informaci\u00f3n relacionado al uso de una tarjeta SIM, como mensajes de texto, llamadas, entre otros. En este caso la torre de telefon\u00eda, proporciona la ubicaci\u00f3n aproximada del usuario al momento de una llamada. El sistema GPS (Global Positioning System o Sistema de posicionamiento global), obtiene los datos a trav\u00e9s de informaci\u00f3n de tel\u00e9fonos inteligentes, como la ubicaci\u00f3n que es registrada a lo largo del tiempo que el dispositivo tenga encendidos las funciones de localizaci\u00f3n. Sobre este tipo de informaci\u00f3n, existen regulaciones para determinar c\u00f3mo son utilizados. La pandemia por COVID-19, ha acelerado la utilizaci\u00f3n de este tipo de recursos y datos generados a trav\u00e9s de dispositivos m\u00f3viles. Como mencionan en el estudio, los datos forman informaci\u00f3n valiosa, pero sin experiencia los datos no pueden generar el mismo impacto: \u201cUn lenguaje compartido nos permitir\u00e1 sincronizar an\u00e1lisis futuros con las limitaciones de cada m\u00e9trica. En conjunto, las consideraciones brindan informaci\u00f3n para los responsables de la formulaci\u00f3n de pol\u00edticas y podr\u00edan informar a los modelos epidemiol\u00f3gicos sobre el distanciamiento f\u00edsico y la propagaci\u00f3n espacial de COVID-19. Combinadas con datos cl\u00ednicos y de salud p\u00fablica, estas m\u00e9tricas tendr\u00e1n un papel importante en la planificaci\u00f3n de retrocesos del distanciamiento porque ayudan a estimar el efecto de varios retrocesos en los patrones de movilidad reales en el suelo y, como resultado, en la propagaci\u00f3n de la epidemia\u201d concluyen en el estudio.
