The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the launch of the Digital Health Center of Excellence.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Center for Digital Health Excellence (DHCoE) center represents an important advancement within Digital Health and the promotion of the advancement of such technologies as medical software, portable devices with focuses on health, and other technologies for the study of medical products.<\/p>

The FDA appointed Bakul Patel, who has been part of the FDA for more than 12 years and has stood out for his work at the agency to achieve regulatory and scientific frameworks related to Digital Health devices since 2010.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cEstablishing the Digital Health Center of Excellence is part of the FDA\u2019s work to ensure that the most cutting-edge digital health technologies are rapidly developed and reviewed in the U.S.,\u201d said FDA Commissioner Stephen M. Hahn, M.D. According to the commissioner, DHCoE represents a new stage in the implementation of a comprehensive approach to Digital Health technologies and thus exploit their potential, and provide safety to consumers to make better informed decisions about their health. Digital Health offers options that facilitate the prevention and early diagnosis of diseases, as well as in the management and promotion of self-care for patients with chronic diseases.<\/p>

DHCoE's main functions include supporting stakeholders, both external and external, in their goals of promoting high-quality health technologies, as well as promoting best practices within Digital Health. Despite being a fully developed project, DHCoE is an agency that has committed to advancing science and evidence for new Digital Health technologies, complying with regulatory frameworks involved by the FDA.<\/p>

La Administraci\u00f3n de Alimentos y Medicamentos de EE.UU. (FDA), anunci\u00f3 el lanzamiento del Digital Health Center of Excellence o Centro de excelencia de Salud Digital. El Centro de Excelencia de Salud Digital (DHCoE) centro representa un avance importante dentro de la Salud Digital y la promoci\u00f3n del avance de este tipo de tecnolog\u00edas como softwares m\u00e9dicos, dispositivos port\u00e1tiles con enfoques en la salud, y otras tecnolog\u00edas para el estudio de productos m\u00e9dicos. La FDA nombr\u00f3 como primer director del DHCoE a Bakul Patel, quien ha formado parte de la FDA desde hace m\u00e1s de 12 a\u00f1os y ha destacado por sus labores en la agencia para lograr marcos regulatorios y cient\u00edficos relacionados a los dispositivos de Salud Digital desde el 2010. \u201cEl establecimiento del Centro de excelencia de salud digital es parte del trabajo de la FDA para garantizar que las tecnolog\u00edas de salud digital m\u00e1s avanzadas se desarrollen y revisen r\u00e1pidamente en los EE.UU.\u201d, explic\u00f3 el comisionado de la FDA, el Dr. Stephen M. Hahn.  Seg\u00fan el comisionado, el DHCoE representa una nueva etapa en la aplicaci\u00f3n de un enfoque integral en tecnolog\u00edas de Salud Digital y as\u00ed explotar su potencial, y brindar seguridad a los consumidores para tomar decisiones mejor informadas sobre su salud. La Salud Digital ofrece opciones que facilitan la prevenci\u00f3n y el diagn\u00f3stico temprano de enfermedades, as\u00ed como en el manejo y en la promoci\u00f3n de autocuidados de pacientes con enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas. Entre las funciones principales del DHCoE se encuentra brindar apoyo a las partes interesadas, tanto internas como externas, en sus objetivos de promoci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas de salud de alta calidad, as\u00ed como promover las mejores pr\u00e1cticas dentro de la Salud Digital.  A pesar de tratarse de un proyecto en pleno desarrollo, el DHCoE es un organismo que se ha comprometido al avance de la ciencia y con la evidencia para las nuevas tecnolog\u00edas de Salud Digital, cumpliendo los marcos reguladores que implica la FDA.
