They conducted 11 interviews, experts from the Spanish Patient Forum and L'Associaci\u00f3 de Diab\u00e9tics de Catalunya, and addressed the following topics:<\/p><ul><li>The conditions needed to conduct the virtual health consultation.<\/li><li>Current barriers: regulatory, financial, professional practice, and others.<\/li><li>What other countries are doing.<\/li><li>Examples of successful cases.<\/li><li>The legal changes required.<\/li><\/ul><p>As regards the revision of the legislation, the following points were identified mainly: to know the definition accepted by different organizations of the concept of telemedicine, to identify the regulatory impulse that telemedicine has had in Spain and in the European Union, to identify ethical and ethical aspects, as well as risks and obligations for health workers, among others.<\/p><p>For the review of academic evidence, 224 results were found through PubMed and 16 additional results obtained from other sources, for a total of 240 articles, of which 43 were included and 197 excluded. Consideraron los siguientes puntos como requisitos para una consulta de salud virtual: comunicaci\u00f3n con encriptaci\u00f3n segura, pacientes registrados para guardar su historial, interoperabilidad de la prescripci\u00f3n con el resto del sistema, sistema de f\u00e1cil acceso y uso para los usuarios, los profesionales deben tener credenciales acreditadas y destinar una parte de su tiempo a esta modalidad, entre otras. La metodolog\u00eda utilizada para este estudio consisti\u00f3 en realizar entrevistas, revisar la legislaci\u00f3n y la evidencia acad\u00e9mica e identificar casos de \u00e9xito. Realizaron 11 entrevistas, a expertos del Foro espa\u00f1ol de pacientes y de L\u2019Associaci\u00f3 de Diab\u00e8tics de Catalunya, y se abordaron los siguientes temas: Las condiciones necesarias para el desarrollo de la consulta de salud virtual. Las barreras actuales: regulatorias, financieras, pr\u00e1cticas profesionales u otras. Qu\u00e9 est\u00e1n haciendo otros pa\u00edses. Ejemplos de casos de \u00e9xito. Los cambios normativos que se deber\u00edan impulsar. En cuanto a la revisi\u00f3n de la legislaci\u00f3n se identificaron principalmente los siguientes puntos: conocer la definici\u00f3n aceptada por distintas organizaciones del concepto de telemedicina, identificar el impulso normativo que ha tenido la telemedicina en Espa\u00f1a y en la Uni\u00f3n Europea, identificar aspectos \u00e9ticos y deontol\u00f3gicos, as\u00ed como riesgos y obligaciones para el personal sanitario, entre otras. Para la revisi\u00f3n de la evidencia acad\u00e9mica se encontraron 224 resultados a trav\u00e9s de PubMed y 16 resultados adicionales obtenidos a trav\u00e9s de otras fuentes, para un total de 240 art\u00edculos, de los cuales se incluyeron 43 y se excluyeron 197. Los criterios de inclusi\u00f3n fueron los siguientes: Estudios en los que interviene el paciente. Estudios originales. Localizaci\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica: Europa, Estados Unidos y Canad\u00e1. Y se excluyeron estudios duplicados o con los mismos datos, y aquellos en los cuales solamente intervienen profesionales de la salud, sin pacientes. Entre los beneficios encontrados, se clasificaron en cuatro categor\u00edas: Beneficios en resultados de salud: Resultados en salud similares a consultas presenciales. Experiencia del paciente: Satisfacci\u00f3n del paciente; Mejora del acceso a consultas de especialistas; Ahorro de costes y tiempo en desplazamiento; Reducci\u00f3n del tiempo de espera para entrar en la consulta. Experiencia del profesional: Satisfacci\u00f3n de los profesionales; Calidad parecida a las consultas presenciales. Sostenibilidad en el sistema sanitario: Disminuci\u00f3n de la lista de espera; Optimizaci\u00f3n de recursos; Reducci\u00f3n del tiempo de consulta y aumento de n\u00ba consultas; Reducci\u00f3n del n\u00famero de consultas presenciales no necesarias.
