Mental health specialists from the National Medical Center (CMN) November 20, belonging to the Institute of Security and Social Services of State Workers (ISSSTE), implemented robots that work through Artificial Intelligence<\/strong> (AI) for teleassistance to COVID patients.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In February, the \"robotic co-therapists\"<\/strong>project began to be prepared, and by May the pilot program was carried out with two mini robots named \"Robotina Covidia\" and \"Davinchito Robotinio\". These two robots are part of the COVID-19 Institutional Psychological Support Program<\/strong>, an alternative to providing accompaniment and psychological care reducing the risk of contagion to health personnel.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

One of the robots is fixed, which was placed in areas of COVID-19 patients and allows to have contact with patients through its camera that transmits to where mental health specialists are located. The other robot is mobile and is touring the hospital. This robot can be managed and managed from anywhere in the hospital and performs the same link functions between patients and specialists.<\/p>

At the end of August, the Coordination of the Services of Psychology, Psychiatry, Pedopsichiatry and Neuropsychology of the CMN November 20, finally endorsed the use of a new robot,<\/strong>which was named \"LaLuchy Robotina\", a robot 1.40 meters high and weighing 37 kilograms.<\/p>

Like its predecessor, this robot travels through hospital rooms and cares for COVID patients. However, its way of care is different, since it has a monitor that transmits in a virtual conference with the specialist and a relative of the patient, these sessions last 30 minutes. So far, more than 160 interventions have been made since the implementation of this technology.<\/strong><\/p>

Such tools make it easier for psychologists and psychiatrists to avoid the risk of contagion and virtually save the use of special protective equipment as they do not come into direct contact with patients. El ISSSTE y el CMN 20 de noviembre pone en marcha su programa de teleasistencia en salud mental a trav\u00e9s de robots. Especialistas en salud mental del Centro M\u00e9dico Nacional (CMN) 20 de noviembre, perteneciente al Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (ISSSTE), implementaron robots que funciona a trav\u00e9s de Inteligencia Artificial (IA) para la teleasistencia a pacientes COVID. En febrero comenz\u00f3 a prepararse el proyecto de \u201ccoterapeutas rob\u00f3ticos\u201d, y para mayo se realiz\u00f3 el programa piloto con dos mini robots nombrados \u201cRobotina Covidia\u201d y \u201cDavinchito Robotinio\u201d. Estos dos robots forman parte del Programa Institucional COVID-19 de Apoyo Psicol\u00f3gico, una alternativa para brindar acompa\u00f1amiento y atenci\u00f3n psicol\u00f3gica reduciendo el riesgo de contagio al personal de salud.             Luc\u00eda Ledesma Torres, coordinadora de este protocolo explic\u00f3 la importancia de este tipo de tecnolog\u00eda en la situaci\u00f3n actual: \u201cTienen el objetivo de acercarnos al paciente considerando que est\u00e1 ante un tremendo estr\u00e9s f\u00edsico, psicol\u00f3gico, aislado de la familia y de manera parcial del equipo m\u00e9dico, porque todos estamos ah\u00ed con nuestros equipos de protecci\u00f3n que parecieran trajes de astronautas y en muchos casos el enfermo ni siquiera puede vernos la cara, no sabe exactamente quienes somos\u201d, concluy\u00f3. Uno de los robots es fijo, que se coloc\u00f3 en \u00e1reas de pacientes COVID-19 y permite tener contacto con los pacientes a trav\u00e9s de su c\u00e1mara que transmite a donde se encuentran los especialistas en salud mental. El otro robot, es m\u00f3vil y se encuentra recorriendo el hospital. Este robot puede ser manejado y administrado desde cualquier punto del hospital y cumple las mismas funciones de v\u00ednculo entre pacientes y especialistas. A finales de agosto la Coordinaci\u00f3n de los Servicios de Psicolog\u00eda, Psiquiatr\u00eda, Paidopsiquiatr\u00eda y Neuropsicolog\u00eda del CMN 20 de noviembre, finalmente aval\u00f3 el uso de un nuevo robot, que fue nombrado como “LaLuchy Robotina”, un robot de 1.40 metros de alto y con un peso de 37 kilogramos.
