<\/em>Dengue virus (DENV) is endemic to tropical regions around the world, so this multidisciplinary group of scientists devised an effective strategy for mosquito control that spreads the virus.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section prevent DENV. \u201cThese mosquitoes express a gene encoding an engineered single-chain variable fragment derived from a broadly neutralizing DENV human monoclonal antibody and have significantly reduced viral infection, dissemination, and transmission rates for all four major antigenically distinct DENV serotypes,\u201d as it reads in the article\u2019s summary.<\/p><p>In the summary, the author explains the advances in genetic technology and its importance for the control of this virus worldwide.  \u201cRecent advances in genetic technologies has allowed for precise modifications of mosquito genome to make them resistant to infections, thus breaking the transmission cycle. Dentro del resumen, el autor explica los avances en tecnolog\u00eda gen\u00e9tica y su importancia para el control de este virus a nivel mundial. \u201cLos avances recientes en las tecnolog\u00edas gen\u00e9ticas han permitido modificaciones precisas del genoma del mosquito para hacerlos resistentes a las infecciones, rompiendo as\u00ed el ciclo de transmisi\u00f3n. Aqu\u00ed generamos Ae. aegypti que expresan eficazmente un fragmento variable monocatenario (scFv) dirigido a DENV derivado de un anticuerpo humano ampliamente neutralizante previamente caracterizado, que bloquea la infecci\u00f3n y la transmisi\u00f3n en estos mosquitos\u201d. Los resultados mostrados significan un avance considerable para desarrollar estrategia con base en mosquitos sint\u00e9ticos, para reducir otros tipos de arbovirus como chikungunya y Zika. Esta investigaci\u00f3n inicial proporciona un principio de prueba para el desarrollo de m\u00e1s estrategias a trav\u00e9s de gen\u00e9tica para reducir el impacto de arbovirus alrededor del mundo.
