This responds to the need in the United States to provide new treatments to young people, since between 30 and 50% of young people diagnosed with anxiety disorder do not respond to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-9695c28 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no wpr-equal-height-no\" data-id=\"9695c28\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-3fbc498\" data-id=\"3fbc498\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-111f239 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"111f239\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u201cCBT is the leading evidence-based psychosocial treatment,\u201d explains research co-author Dr. Jeremy Pettit of Florida International University. \u201cSo there is a critical need to have other treatment options available for this population given that persistent anxiety is associated with distress, impairment in functioning, and elevated risk for other psychiatric disorders and suicide.\u201d<\/p><p>This study is the first to show a potentially effective strategy for this group of the population. 64 children and young people between the ages of 7 and 16 participated for their development, all met the criteria for anxiety disorder and had received CBT. El primer tratamiento de atenci\u00f3n estaba enfocado a est\u00edmulos neutros lejos de est\u00edmulos amenazantes, por el contrario, el segundo tratamiento de atenci\u00f3n, entren\u00f3 atenci\u00f3n a est\u00edmulos neutrales y amenazantes de igual forma. Ambas t\u00e9cnicas de entrenamiento condujeron a resultados positivos en el tratamiento de la ansiedad entre los participantes. &nbsp;\u201cEl entrenamiento de la atenci\u00f3n es un aumento prometedor para los ni\u00f1os que no responden a la TCC\u201d, mencion\u00f3 la coautora, la Dra.
