As for the method used for the analysis, they opted for an observational and descriptive design that included 540.397 patients, i.e. the same number of remote diagnoses, these were performed through the diagnostic tele diagnostic network implemented in 67 hospitals belonging to the MSPBS.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-894b07f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no wpr-equal-height-no\" data-id=\"894b07f\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-267196b\" data-id=\"267196b\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c70a29c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c70a29c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The premise of this research is to measure the usefulness of the application of telemedicine to reduce gaps within the health care of remote populations of Paraguay. To perform the observational and descriptive analysis, they chose only patients to make medical requests for imaging studies: tomography and ultrasound; and study of biological electrical signals: Electrocardiogram (ECG) and electroencephalogram (EEG).<\/p><p>All images were received by specialists via the Internet, and although the images obtained were obtained through different medical devices, they were eventually sent to a web application hosted in the \"telemedicine cloud\".<\/p><p>Through a store &amp; forward method, in which once the patient has obtained the study, the images are received by the remote specialist to make the diagnosis. El Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica y Bienestar Social de Paraguay (MSPBS), y el Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Biom\u00e9dica e Im\u00e1genes del Instituto de Investigaciones en Ciencias (IICS), publicaron el art\u00edculo \u201cAplicaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas disruptivas en telemedicina para la cobertura universal de servicios de salud\u201d el cual aborda la importancia de la aplicaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas en telemedicina para facilitar la accesibilidad a tecnolog\u00edas a las poblaciones remotas sin acceso a especialistas. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la utilidad de la aplicaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas disruptivas en telemedicina para la cobertura universal de salud entre enero del 2014 y septiembre del 2019. \u00a0En cuanto al m\u00e9todo utilizado para el an\u00e1lisis, optaron por un dise\u00f1o observacional y descriptivo que incluy\u00f3 540 mil 397 pacientes, es decir el mismo n\u00famero de diagn\u00f3sticos remotos, estos fueron realizados a trav\u00e9s de la red de tele diagn\u00f3stico implementada en 67 hospitales pertenecientes al MSPBS. La premisa de esta investigaci\u00f3n es medir la utilidad de la aplicaci\u00f3n de la telemedicina para reducir brechas dentro de la atenci\u00f3n sanitaria de poblaciones remotas de Paraguay. Para realizar el an\u00e1lisis observacional y descriptivo eligieron \u00fanicamente pacientes que realizaran solicitudes m\u00e9dicas para estudios de diagn\u00f3stico por im\u00e1genes: tomograf\u00eda y ecograf\u00eda; y estudio de se\u00f1ales el\u00e9ctricas biol\u00f3gicas: Electrocardiograma (ECG) y electroencefalograma (EEG). Todas las im\u00e1genes fueron recibidas por los especialistas a trav\u00e9s de internet, y aunque las im\u00e1genes obtenidas se obtuvieron a trav\u00e9s de diferentes dispositivos m\u00e9dicos, fueron enviadas finalmente a una aplicaci\u00f3n web alojada en la &#8220;nube de telemedicina&#8221;. A trav\u00e9s de un m\u00e9todo store &amp; forward, en el que una vez que el paciente haya obtenido el estudio, las im\u00e1genes son recibidas por el especialista remoto para que realice el diagn\u00f3stico. Posteriormente, el informe estar\u00e1 disponible en la nube de telemedicina para que el paciente lo consulte. Los investigadores realizaron las siguientes anotaciones al interpretar los resultados: Las aplicaciones de tecnolog\u00edas disruptivas en telemedicina adicionan ventajas para el mapeo o tamizaje de patolog\u00edas de inter\u00e9s epidemiol\u00f3gico. La incorporaci\u00f3n de nuevas tecnolog\u00edas como la telemedicina implica un cambio en los procedimientos rutinarios del servicio m\u00e9dico, desde el punto de vista cient\u00edfico, legal y \u00e9tico. Son limitadas las evidencias que avalen la idoneidad y capacidad de las tecnolog\u00edas disruptivas en telemedicina para solucionar problemas concretos del sistema de salud. La telemedicina basada en tecnolog\u00edas disruptivas como la inteligencia artificial o machine learning puede satisfacer la demanda de innovaci\u00f3n permanente del ecosistema de salud para hacerlo m\u00e1s saludable y sostenible a la sociedad. La telemedicina puede mejorar significativamente la cobertura universal de los servicios diagn\u00f3sticos y programas de salud. \u00a0 Es decir, la telemedicina no puede sustituir los servicios convencionales de salud, ya que dif\u00edcilmente solucionaran problemas espec\u00edficos en los sistemas de salud p\u00fablica. Sin embargo, s\u00ed representan una innovaci\u00f3n necesaria para mejorar la cobertura de los servicios de salud.\u00a0 Adem\u00e1s, uno de los retos de la telemedicina y en general de la Salud Digital en todos los pa\u00edses el contar con un marco legal para su aplicaci\u00f3n, infraestructura t\u00e9cnica espec\u00edfica tanto para pacientes como para centros de salud y finalmente, la aplicaci\u00f3n de estos servicios requiere un entrenamiento y capacitaci\u00f3n diferente para el personal m\u00e9dico.
