The Territorial Health Directorate of Caldas in conjunction with the Governor of Caldas Luis Vel\u00e1squez Cardona, announced that it will begin remote care for older adults in Centros D\u00eda Centers, Centros Vida and Protection Centers.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

With this action they hope to benefit the adult population of the 27 municipalities of the department, by providing specialties in psychology, psychiatry, general medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics and neurology. The main objective is to offer complete services in the medical specialties that adults from distant populations need.<\/p>

Through the program Te cuido, promoted after the COVID-19 health emergency by the University of Caldas (UdeC), the department of Telehealth, the Government of Caldas and the Territorial Directorate of Health, have provided more than 138 thousand attentions through teleconsultation and telemedicine services, in specialties such as general medicine, psychology, among others.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This program has fulfilled its function in providing attention in different medical specialties through the use of telemedicine to remote populations, located more than 100 km from specialized health centers in Manizales. The difficulty in transfers, coupled with social estrangement and quarantine measures, have driven the success of the project.<\/p>

In addition, they are currently working on the development of a platform for the visualization and management of ambulances in the department, as well as a tool that allows to accurately measure the availability of Intensive Care Units.<\/p>

Despite the current health emergency, both the UdeC and the Caldas Government have developed specific lines of action to provide remote health services and reduce the likelihood of contagion by preventing travel to health facilities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A trav\u00e9s del programa Te Cuido, se ha incrementado la aplicaci\u00f3n de servicios de Telesalud en el departamento de Caldas. La Direcci\u00f3n Territorial de Salud de Caldas en conjunto con el Gobernador de Caldas Luis Vel\u00e1squez Cardona, anunciaron que comenzar\u00e1 la atenci\u00f3n remota para adultos mayores de los Centros D\u00eda, Centro Vida y Centros de Protecci\u00f3n. Con esta acci\u00f3n esperan beneficiar a poblaci\u00f3n adulta de los 27 municipios del departamento, al brindar especialidades en psicolog\u00eda, psiquiatr\u00eda, medicina general, medicina interna, geriatr\u00eda y neurolog\u00eda. El principal objetivo es ofrecer servicios completos en las especialidades m\u00e9dicas que los adultos de poblaciones lejanas necesiten. A trav\u00e9s del programa Te cuido, impulsado tras la emergencia sanitaria COVID-19 por la Universidad de Caldas (UdeC), el departamento de Telesalud, el Gobierno de Caldas y la Direcci\u00f3n Territorial de Salud, han brindado m\u00e1s de 138 mil atenciones a trav\u00e9s de servicios de teleconsulta y telemedicina, en especialidades como medicina general, psicolog\u00eda, entre otras. Te cuido ha cumplido en brindar atenciones en distintas especialidades m\u00e9dicas a trav\u00e9s del uso de la telemedicina a poblaciones remotas, ubicadas a m\u00e1s de 100 km de centros de salud especializados de Manizales. La dificultad en los traslados, aunado a las medidas de distanciamiento social y cuarentena han impulsado el \u00e9xito del proyecto. Adem\u00e1s, actualmente se encuentran trabajando en el desarrollo de una plataforma para la visualizaci\u00f3n y gesti\u00f3n de ambulancias en el departamento, as\u00ed como una herramienta que permita medir con exactitud la disponibilidad de Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos. A pesar de la emergencia sanitaria actual, tanto la UdeC como el Gobierno de Caldas han desarrollado l\u00edneas de acci\u00f3n especificas para ofrecer servicios remotos de salud y reducir la probabilidad de contagios al evitar desplazamientos a centros de salud.
