Pancreatic cancer is a disease that affects 12 in 100,000 people, meaning that a method of screening through testing would not be efficient. Other cancers may have tests or tests that determine a possible disease, because in some cancers they exist in populations with more risk to develop the disease. The pilot study found that the model can predict which people under the age of 60 were most at risk of getting sick and make a diagnosis more than 20 months before developing the disease.<\/p><p>\u201cOur model has estimated that around 1,500 tests need to be performed to save one life from pancreatic cancer\u201d explained Dr. Ananya Malhotra researcher in statistics, London School of Hygiene &amp;Tropical Medicine, London, UK. In addition, he explained that they used AI to study an extensive volume of data and find exact combinations to predict who might develop the disease. No obstante, en este congreso ser\u00e1 presentado el avance de un estudio que promete la detecci\u00f3n temprana de c\u00e1ncer de p\u00e1ncreas. El c\u00e1ncer pancre\u00e1tico es una enfermedad que afecta a 12 de 100 mil personas, lo que significa que un m\u00e9todo de vigilancia a trav\u00e9s de pruebas no ser\u00eda eficiente. En otros tipos de c\u00e1ncer es posible realizar ex\u00e1menes o pruebas que determinen una posible enfermedad, esto porque en algunos tipos de c\u00e1ncer existen en poblaciones m\u00e1s propensas a desarrollar la enfermedad. Por grupos de edad o por sexo, por ejemplo, el c\u00e1ncer de seno y el c\u00e1ncer de pr\u00f3stata. Para la realizaci\u00f3n de este estudio preliminar, se apoyaron los expedientes cl\u00ednicos electr\u00f3nicos (ECE), utilizados por los m\u00e9dicos generales de los pacientes en el Reino Unido. El an\u00e1lisis incluy\u00f3 a 1,378 pacientes entre 15 y 99 a\u00f1os diagnosticados con c\u00e1ncer de p\u00e1ncreas entre 2005 y 2010.
