The Michoac\u00e1n government adopted telemedicine tools to manage the epidemic in the state and thus provide specialized care to suspected cases. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

At the end of May, the Ministry of Health of the state of Michoac\u00e1n, Mexico, introduced the smartphone application, My Health Michoacan<\/strong>, a telemedicine service to provide medical care and guidance to people who are confirmed cases of COVID-10 in the state of Michoac\u00e1n.<\/p>

The application, which was developed by the Health Intelligence Center<\/strong> in collaboration with the Secretariat of Health, University of San Nicol\u00e1s de Hidalgo and the Vasco de Quiroga University, offers medical care through video calls with patients, in which the doctor will carry out a questionnaire, a medical assessment and in relation to this will give the necessary recommendations. At the end of the session the patient will receive by SMS the corresponding medical guidance.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As of July 11, the app has provided nearly a thousand attentions, 560 video calls and more than 300 follow-up calls to infected patients.<\/p>

In addition to this application that is for the exclusive use of patients who tested positive for COVID-19, the Government of Michoac\u00e1n presented the michoacancoronavirus.com<\/a>platform, which updates information on confirmed, suspected and negative cases, as well as deaths and recovered patients recorded in the state.<\/p>

Another of the actions that accompanies this platform is the COVID-19 Michoacan<\/strong> application available for Android devices:<\/p>

It also offers a line to provide medical care to patients by telephone, as well as a self-diagnostic assessment questionnaire for those with suspected infection of the virus. The app even has access to Club Chanani, a child eduentertainment platform made by artists, athletes and parents.<\/p>

The State of Michoac\u00e1n, took national relevance in the subject of COVID-19 when the Technological Institute of Morelia, gathered a group of students, former students and researchers for the repair of more than 100 artificial respirators, which were subsequently sent to IMSS clinics in different places of the country.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

El gobierno de Michoac\u00e1n adopt\u00f3 herramientas de telemedicina para el manejo de la epidemia en el estado y de esta forma brindar atenci\u00f3n especializada a casos sospechosos. A finales del mes de mayo la Secretar\u00eda de Salud del estado de Michoac\u00e1n, M\u00e9xico, present\u00f3 la aplicaci\u00f3n para tel\u00e9fonos inteligentes, Mi Salud Michoac\u00e1n, un servicio de telemedicina para brindar atenci\u00f3n y orientaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica a las personas que sean casos confirmados de COVID-10 en el estado de Michoac\u00e1n. La aplicaci\u00f3n, que fue desarrollada por el Centro de Inteligencia en Salud en colaboraci\u00f3n con la Secretar\u00eda de Salud, la Universidad Michoacana de San Nicol\u00e1s de Hidalgo y la Universidad Vasco de Quiroga, ofrece atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica a trav\u00e9s de videollamadas con los pacientes, en las que el m\u00e9dico realizar\u00e1 un cuestionario, una valoraci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica y en relaci\u00f3n a esto dar\u00e1 las recomendaciones necesarias. Terminando la sesi\u00f3n el paciente recibir\u00e1 por SMS la orientaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica correspondiente. Adem\u00e1s de dicha aplicaci\u00f3n que es para uso exclusivo de pacientes que dieron positivo a la prueba de COVID-19, el gobierno de Michoac\u00e1n present\u00f3 la plataforma michoacancoronavirus.com, en la cual se actualiza la informaci\u00f3n sobre los casos confirmados, sospechosos y negativos, as\u00ed como las defunciones y pacientes recuperados que se registran en el estado. Ofrece tambi\u00e9n con una l\u00ednea directa para brindar atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica a pacientes v\u00eda telef\u00f3nica, as\u00ed como un cuestionario de evaluaci\u00f3n autodiagn\u00f3stica para aquellos con sospechas de contagio del virus. Incluso, la app cuenta con acceso a Club Chanani, una plataforma de eduentretenimiento para ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as hecho por artistas, atletas y padres de familia. El Estado de Michoac\u00e1n, tom\u00f3 relevancia nacional en el tema de COVID-19 cuando el Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Morelia, reuni\u00f3 a un grupo de estudiantes, ex alumnos e investigadores para la reparaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 100 respiradores artificiales, que posteriormente fueron enviados a cl\u00ednicas del IMSS en diferentes puntos del pa\u00eds. Las herramientas de Salud Digital implementadas por las autoridades del estado, sin duda pueden lograr a crear un v\u00ednculo entre los pacientes, para aplicaciones de herramientas de telemedicina en un futuro dentro del estado de Michoac\u00e1n y sus servicios de salud.
