A conference was held out of the model and its short-term objectives.\n\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-1d35ab7 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no wpr-equal-height-no\" data-id=\"1d35ab7\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-386ff46\" data-id=\"386ff46\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b8446fc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b8446fc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The first digital PCR equipment was enabled in drops in the country within the Research Institute in Health Sciences of the National University of Asunci\u00f3n (IICS-UNA).<\/p><p>The inauguration was held at the conference entitled \"Principles of digital PCR in drops and its usefulness in research and diagnostics\", which was led by Dr. Socrates Avil\u00e9s, application specialist at Bio-Red Mexico.<\/p><p>Polymerase chain reaction (enzyme capable of transcribing and replicating nucleic acids), or PCR, is a technique for making many copies of a given region of DNA in vitro (within a test tube rather than an organism). It is achieved from a small segment of DNA, which, in most cases, would go unnoticed within any analysis.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-07e75c5 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no wpr-equal-height-no\" data-id=\"07e75c5\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-da1f8f6\" data-id=\"da1f8f6\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1654892 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1654892\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The purpose is to multiply it millions of times to be easy to detect and can be used in a paternity test, dengue diagnoses, transgenic seed studies or microbiological studies for meat export, to name just a few examples.<\/p><p>In this sense, and thanks to the technological advances that have optimized traditional techniques, digital PCR Equipment comes into play: an alternative method to conventional PCR in real time with which you can detect the multiple forms that a gene can take. La reacci\u00f3n en cadena de la polimerasa (enzima capaz de transcribir y replicar \u00e1cidos nucleicos), o PCR por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s, es una t\u00e9cnica para hacer muchas copias de una determinada regi\u00f3n de ADN in vitro (dentro de un tubo de ensayo en lugar de un organismo). Se consigue a partir de un peque\u00f1o segmento de ADN, el cual, en la mayor\u00eda de los casos, pasar\u00eda desapercibido dentro de un an\u00e1lisis cualquiera. La finalidad es multiplicarla millones de veces para ser f\u00e1cil de detectar y pueda ser utilizada en un test de paternidad, diagn\u00f3sticos de dengue, estudios de semillas transg\u00e9nicas o estudios microbiol\u00f3gicos para la exportaci\u00f3n de carne, por citar solo algunos ejemplos. En este sentido, y gracias a los avances tecnol\u00f3gicos que han optimizado las t\u00e9cnicas tradicionales, entra en juego el Equipamiento PCR digital: un m\u00e9todo alternativo a la PCR convencional en tiempo real con el cual se podr\u00e1 detectar las m\u00faltiples formas que puede adoptar un gen. El equipo digital funciona dividiendo una muestra de ADN en muchas reacciones de PCR de manera individual y ofrece potencializar la precisi\u00f3n agregando una sensibilidad y exactitud superior en comparaci\u00f3n a los m\u00e9todos moleculares cl\u00e1sicos. La Dra. Ana Ayala, responsable del Laboratorio de Gen\u00e9tica Molecular del IICS, explic\u00f3 que este equipamiento permite condensar las muestras depositadas en un tubo y convertirlas en miles de nano gotas. \u201cEn lugar de tener 1 muestra, tenemos 20 mil gotas de PCR y eso aumenta mucho la sensibilidad, lo que permite que detectemos cosas que no se ven por los m\u00e9todos convencionales, por ejemplo, una c\u00e9lula cancer\u00edgena\u201d, detall\u00f3. Este sistema es el primero de su tipo en Paraguay (Uruguay ya cuenta con uno, Argentina con 3 y Chile igual con 3) y se espera que varios sectores de la poblaci\u00f3n puedan utilizarlo. El equipo fue adquirido a trav\u00e9s de la Convocatoria para el Fortalecimiento del Equipamiento Tecnol\u00f3gico de Investigaci\u00f3n de Paraguay, cofinanciado por el Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda (CONACYT).
