The NHS established four guidelines to follow in its digital technologies to strengthen its medical and hospital services. The aim is that, over time, all the needs that users and companies require for the optimal exercise of their functions and in relation to the quality of health can be met.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The NHS continues to innovate its services to deliver better quality by reducing the margins of error and biases involved in upgrading to new technologies demanded by digital health users.<\/p>

The new tools being developed by the NHS require a solid and renewed digital foundation. In the past, they tried an innovation program that did not deliver the expected results as it did not gain acceptance from doctors and patients since the implementations and public policies they addressed did not focus on the actual needs and priorities of the user, leaving it aside; for this reason the British Health System learned the lesson from this failed case in 2002.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Now, the commitment to creating digital health-based technology is to include 4 basic principles that ensure its proper functioning and proper handling.<\/p>

These four digital principles are:<\/p>

  1. Meet the needs of users:<\/strong> to build trust and use of these software and platforms.<\/li><\/ol>
    1. Ensure privacy and security:<\/strong> using a data bank that can be backed up by specific systems with high standards of protection.<\/li><\/ol>
      1. Be open and interoperable:<\/strong> allows the flow of data and the integration of the different systems that work with a large amount of information.<\/li><\/ol>
        1. Be inclusive:<\/strong> make it attractive to new generations and recognize that there is a full spectrum of people in terms not only of their access to digital technologies, but also their ability to use them.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

          An example of this new vision lies in the Netherlands, where Skin Vision developed a mobile app to capture images of moles and analyze them using the cloud to store them and, within 30 seconds, determine the risk of skin cancer.<\/p>

          In the process a dermatologist checks the images and patients who are at high risk of this problem receive advice within 48 hours.<\/p>

          Images are also added to a library, helping library prevent the onset of cancer by using machine learning and updating its knowledge patterns for detection. Currently its accuracy is more than 90 percent.<\/p>

          El NHS estableci\u00f3 cuatro lineamientos a seguir en sus tecnolog\u00edas digitales para fortalecer sus servicios m\u00e9dicos y hospitalarios. El objetivo es que, con el tiempo, se puedan satisfacer todas las necesidades que los usuarios y empresas requieren para el \u00f3ptimo ejercicio de sus funciones y en pro a la calidad de la salud. El Servicio Nacional de Salud del Reino Unido (NHS por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) sigue innovando sus servicios para ofrecer mejor calidad reduciendo los m\u00e1rgenes de error y los sesgos que implica la actualizaci\u00f3n hacia las nuevas tecnolog\u00edas que demandan los usuarios de la Salud Digital. Las nuevas herramientas que est\u00e1 desarrollando el NHS requieren de una base digital s\u00f3lida y que se est\u00e9 renovando. En el pasado, intentaron un programa de innovaci\u00f3n que no dio los resultados esperados ya que no gan\u00f3 la aceptaci\u00f3n de los m\u00e9dicos y pacientes puesto que las implementaciones y pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas que abordaban no se enfocaban en las necesidades reales y prioridades del usuario, dej\u00e1ndolo de lado; por este motivo el Sistema de Salud brit\u00e1nico aprendi\u00f3 la lecci\u00f3n de este caso fallido ocurrido en 2002. Ahora, la apuesta que se hace para la creaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00eda basada en la salud digital es incluir 4 principios b\u00e1sicos que garanticen su buen funcionamiento y un manejo correcto. Estos cuatro principios digitales son: Satisfacer las necesidades de los usuarios: para fomentar la confianza y el uso de estos softwares y plataformas. Garantizar la privacidad y la seguridad: utilizando un banco de datos que puedan ser respaldados por sistemas espec\u00edficos con altos est\u00e1ndares de protecci\u00f3n. Ser abiertos e interoperables: permite el flujo de datos y la integraci\u00f3n de los distintos sistemas que trabajen con una gran cantidad de informaci\u00f3n. Ser inclusivos: hacerla atractiva para las nuevas generaciones y reconocer que hay un espectro completo de personas en t\u00e9rminos no solo de su acceso a las tecnolog\u00edas digitales, sino tambi\u00e9n de su capacidad para utilizarlas. Un ejemplo de esta nueva visi\u00f3n reside en Holanda, donde la compa\u00f1\u00eda Skin Vision desarroll\u00f3 una aplicaci\u00f3n m\u00f3vil para capturar im\u00e1genes de lunares y analizarlas usando la nube para almacenarlas y, en cuesti\u00f3n de 30 segundos, determinar el riesgo de c\u00e1ncer de piel. En el proceso un dermat\u00f3logo verifica las im\u00e1genes y los pacientes que tienen alto riesgo de sufrir este problema reciben asesoramiento dentro de las 48 horas subsiguientes. Las im\u00e1genes tambi\u00e9n se agregan a una biblioteca, lo que ayuda a este a prevenir la aparici\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer utilizando el aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico y la actualizaci\u00f3n de sus patrones de conocimiento para la detecci\u00f3n. Actualmente su precisi\u00f3n es superior al 90 por ciento. La conclusi\u00f3n a la que se lleg\u00f3 fue que los modelos centrados en el paciente de manera total e integral son beneficiosos para alcanzar una \u201cmadurez digital\u201d.
