In Chile the percentage is higher and 25% of the agenda is wasted. If we add to this that the number of doctors available is low for the total population, it results in us that missed consultations can make a difference in patient care.<\/p><p>PatricIA functions as a single-channel digital assistant. Based on the data provided by users looking to schedule, it offers solutions that minimize errors of understanding and can even cancel an appointment by simply analyzing each patient's history, understanding the situations under which it tends not to present, and thus optimize wait times.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-a011d7d elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default wpr-particle-no wpr-jarallax-no wpr-parallax-no wpr-sticky-section-no\" data-id=\"a011d7d\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-8b37ca9\" data-id=\"8b37ca9\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-502ed70 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"502ed70\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>AI allows PatricIA, through a system of specific steps, to:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Schedule<\/strong>: Data can be debugged through any device to provide the customer with a method that allows to take turns of waiting without frustrating the patience of the requester.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li><strong>Manage appointments:<\/strong> Deliver tracking information through the most dynamic and convenient channel to avoid disrupting their daily activities, but ensure that they remember and show up for the session.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li><strong>Medical Appointment<\/strong>: Participates in the assignment of a suitable specialist for each patient with fewer mistakes than made in a call center.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li><strong>Follow-up:<\/strong> Accompanies the patient by providing quotes, indications and proposals. An example is Siri (Apple's smart system); it relies on how the user speaks and communicates to generate their responses and recommendations.<\/p><p>PatricIA currently serves nearly 2 million patients per month, which translates into more than 5 million communications and is used in 95% of Chilean health centers. PatricIA puede entender y predecir el canal de comunicaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s adecuado para organizar con los usuarios su calendario de consultas ya sea por SMS, e-mail, WhatsApp, chat o llamada telef\u00f3nica; todo lo anterior de acuerdo con la preferencia del usuario. El American Journal of Medicine estima que en el mundo un 20% de las consultas m\u00e9dicas agendadas no se realizan debido a que sin previo aviso el paciente no se present\u00f3 a la cita. En Chile el porcentaje es m\u00e1s elevado y es el 25% de la agenda la que se queda desaprovechada. Si a esto le sumamos que la cantidad de m\u00e9dicos disponibles es baja para el total de la poblaci\u00f3n, nos da como resultado que las consultas que se pierden pueden hacer la diferencia en el servicio de atenci\u00f3n a los pacientes. PatricIA funciona como un asistente digital de un solo canal. A partir de los datos proporcionados por los usuarios que buscan agendar, ofrece soluciones que minimizan errores de entendimiento e incluso puede cancelar una cita con s\u00f3lo analizar el historial de cada paciente, entender las situaciones bajo las que tiende a no presentarse, y as\u00ed optimizar los tiempos de espera. La IA permite que, mediante un sistema de pasos espec\u00edficos, PatricIA pueda: Agendar: a trav\u00e9s de cualquier dispositivo se pueden depurar datos para ofrecer al cliente un m\u00e9todo que permita tomar turnos de espera sin frustrar la paciencia de quien la solicita. Gestionar citas: entregar informaci\u00f3n de seguimiento por medio del canal m\u00e1s din\u00e1mico y conveniente para evitar interrumpir las actividades diarias de \u00e9stos, pero garantizar que recuerden y se presenten a la sesi\u00f3n. Cita m\u00e9dica: participa en la asignaci\u00f3n de un especialista adecuado para cada paciente con menos errores de los que se cometen en un call center. Seguimiento: acompa\u00f1a al paciente otorgando presupuestos, indicaciones y propuestas. Esto busca mejorar la estad\u00edstica que indica que el 40% de los pacientes no vuelve a tener contacto con los m\u00e9dicos para seguimiento. Salud preventiva: paquete de ex\u00e1menes m\u00e9dicos, tratamientos y procedimientos para generar recordatorios y consejos que impulsen una vida sana. El funcionamiento de PatricIA es a trav\u00e9s del Procesamiento de Lenguaje Natural (PNL por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) combinado con Aprendizaje de M\u00e1quinas (o Machine Learning). El primero tiene por objetivo hacer que el ordenador procese el lenguaje humano insertando una serie de algoritmos y datos para determinadas tareas como la traducci\u00f3n autom\u00e1tica, los sistemas de di\u00e1logo interactivos, el an\u00e1lisis de opiniones, tendencias, gustos, etc. Por su parte el ML, utiliza la ciencia de datos para permitirle a las m\u00e1quinas adquirir nuevos conocimientos y tomar decisiones propias sin la necesidad de usar la programaci\u00f3n, sino m\u00e1s bien, por medio de la experiencia. Un ejemplo, es Siri (el sistema inteligente de Apple); se basa en la forma de hablar y comunicarse del usuario para generar sus respuestas y recomendaciones. Actualmente PatricIA atiende a casi 2 millones de pacientes al mes, lo cual se traduce en m\u00e1s de 5 millones de conversaciones y es utilizada por el 95% de los centros de salud chilenos. Dentro de las primeras metas que se han logrado con la implementaci\u00f3n, podemos hablar del 5% menos de ausentismo desde el primer mes. Por el momento hay 5 entrenadores trabajando con la tecnolog\u00eda que se ir\u00e1 perfeccionando a medida en que el uso y los diferentes casos vayan fortaleciendo el sistema.
