The IMSS digitization process has been updated over the years and is in a constant growth process.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Digital transformation within IMSS began during the previous Federal Administration (2012-2018), when digitization strategies were included in the 2012-2018 National Development Plan, specifically in the Transversal Approach<\/em> (Mexico Inclusive) within the lines of action of the Strategy II Closet to people and Modern Government<\/em>: \u201cDesign and integrate functional, scalable and interconnected systems, to make the transactions of public social security bodies more efficient\".<\/p>

In 2013, IMSS began the new process of digitization in its services and according to official data, from 2013 to 2016 they made 104 million remote procedures.<\/p>

In 2015 the smartphone app, , IMSS Digital was launched<\/strong> and at the end of 2016 more than 435,000 downloads were recorded. Initially, IMSS Digital was enabled to perform Social Security discharges, NSS consultation, registration or clinic changes, clinics and hospitals information, as well as schedule medical appointments in less than two minutes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In addition to other strategies such as CHKT en l\u00ednea, launched in 2017 by the federal government, in which it offered the population a risk calculator, to measure the factors that can lead to a chronic disease.\u00a0<\/p>

With the current administration, the process of modernizing the services of IMSS continues, in the IMSS Digital websitehttp:\/\/www.imss.gob.mx\/imssdigital<\/a>) there is a Virtual Desktop, a customized platform for digital procedures and services. To do that the user just need to type their CURP, FIEL and email.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On the virtual desktop, 18 procedures for rightsholders can be find, and they are sorted into three categories: the first one is Registrations, Inscriptions and Records<\/strong>, which includes scheduling medical appointments, assignment of NSS, among others; Consultations<\/strong>, including information to know the listed weeks, or the validity of rights in the Institute, among others; Changes, Modifications or Data Update<\/strong>, which includes procedures such as updating CURP or other data for beneficiaries or pensioners, clinical changes, among others.<\/p>

It also offers the possibility to make 12 procedures, for employer and are categorized in the same way.<\/p>

On the other hand, IMSS started in 2017 a Telemedicine project providing real-time medical care through video conferences, this in the states of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco Colima and Michoac\u00e1n.<\/p>

According to a report, from the start of the program, from July 2017 to July 2019, more than 2,500 attentions were granted, of which 641 correspond to 2017 (as of July).<\/p>

El proceso de digitalizaci\u00f3n del IMSS ha sido actualizado a trav\u00e9s de los a\u00f1os y se encuentra en un proceso constante de crecimiento. La transformaci\u00f3n digital dentro del IMSS comenz\u00f3 durante la anterior administraci\u00f3n Federal (2012-2018), cuando fueron incluidas estrategias de digitalizaci\u00f3n en el Plan Nacional de Desarrollo 2012-2018, espec\u00edficamente en el Enfoque Transversal (M\u00e9xico Incluyente) dentro de las l\u00edneas de acci\u00f3n de la estrategia II Gobierno Cercano y Moderno: \u201cDise\u00f1ar e integrar sistemas funcionales, escalables e interconectados, para hacer m\u00e1s eficientes las transacciones de los organismos p\u00fablicos de seguridad social\u201d. En 2013 el IMSS comenz\u00f3 el nuevo proceso de digitalizaci\u00f3n en sus servicios y seg\u00fan datos oficiales de 2013 a 2016 realizaron 104 millones de atenciones no presenciales. En 2015 se lanz\u00f3 la aplicaci\u00f3n para tel\u00e9fonos inteligentes, IMSS Digital y a finales de 2016 se registraron m\u00e1s de 435 mil descargas. Inicialmente, IMSS Digital se habilit\u00f3 para realizar altas en el Seguro Social, consulta del NSS, alta o cambio de cl\u00ednica, consultar la informaci\u00f3n de las cl\u00ednicas y hospitales, as\u00ed como agendar citas m\u00e9dicas en menos de dos minutos. Adem\u00e1s de otras estrategias como CHKT en l\u00ednea impulsada por el gobierno federal en 2017, en la que ofrec\u00eda a la poblaci\u00f3n una calculadora de riesgo, para medir los factores de riego que pueden derivar en una enfermedad cr\u00f3nica.  Con la actual administraci\u00f3n contin\u00faa el proceso de modernizar los servicios del IMSS, en el portal de IMSS Digital (http:\/\/www.imss.gob.mx\/imssdigital) se encuentra el Escritorio Virtual, una plataforma personalizada para tramites y servicios digitales. Para realizarlos es necesario teclear tu CURP, FIEL y correo electr\u00f3nico. En el escritorio virtual se pueden realizar 18 tr\u00e1mites para derechohabientes, y se encuentran ordenados en tres categor\u00edas: Altas, Inscripciones o Registros, que incluye agendar citas m\u00e9dicas, asignaci\u00f3n de NSS, entre otras; Consultas, que incluye informaci\u00f3n para conocer las semanas cotizadas, o la vigencia de derechos en el Instituto, entre otras; Cambios, Modificaciones o Actualizaci\u00f3n de datos, que comprende tramites como actualizaci\u00f3n de CURP u otros datos para beneficiarios o pensionados, cambios de cl\u00ednica, entre otros. Adem\u00e1s, ofrece la posibilidad de hacer 12 tr\u00e1mites, para patrones y se encuentran categorizados de la misma manera. Por otro lado, el IMSS comenz\u00f3 en 2017 un proyecto de Telemedicina brindando atenci\u00f3n medica en tiempo real a trav\u00e9s de video conferencias, esto en los estados de Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco Colima y Michoac\u00e1n. Seg\u00fan un informe, desde el inicio del programa en julio de 2017 hasta julio de 2019 se otorgaron m\u00e1s de 2 mil 500 atenciones de las cuales 641 corresponden al 2017 (hasta el mes de julio). Dentro de la plataforma Educaci\u00f3n en Salud del IMSS (http:\/\/educacionensalud.imss.gob.mx\/telemedicina\/index.html), en el apartado de telemedicina est\u00e1 disponible la informaci\u00f3n sobre especificaciones sobre el uso de equipo m\u00e9dico para este servicio  as\u00ed como las otras tecnolog\u00edas utilizadas.
