Digital health improves the methods that public health system offers, assimilates the advances of technology in the institutions that host in the cloud the essential elements to reinforce the way in which the quality of life of citizens is protected.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Health cannot become a universal system until it can be fully supported by a digital platform.<\/strong> This was expressed by the general director general of Carlos Slim Foundation, Roberto Tapia-Conyer, within the 9th Global Health Conference<\/strong>, held in Miami, Florida.<\/p>

According to Tapia-Conyer, the relationship between the health system and the digital world is crucial. We live in an era where absolutely all information regarding one topic or another can be found online. Similarly, the world of health and medicine must be digitized by incorporating electronic records that allow the patients to be treated at any time and wherever they are.<\/p>

The interaction between patients, doctors and institutions will be much more practical and immediate, impacting on better administration of the system, its execution and its costs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\"It is not necessary to make million-dollar investments to implement digital platforms in health systems,\" Tapia-Conyer said, as while some existing application configurations remain to be modified, the platforms are already available, waiting to be universally included in public health institutions.<\/p>

A friendly adaptation to digital health is required for Latin America to boost public policies that lead to the use of Internet, because only in countries such as the United States, Canada, Mexico or Costa Rica, there is a more active use of the Internet and for other purposes focused on education, health, business or security.<\/p>

The idea of implementing cloud services within health systems is to positively evolve and change the way professionals operate user relationships and create more options. It is intended to build on alliances with private institutions to homogenize free access and to observe the reaction and behavior of users to adapt the system.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

La salud no puede convertirse en un sistema universal hasta que pueda ser respaldado en su totalidad por una plataforma digital. As\u00ed mismo, la interacci\u00f3n entre los pacientes, m\u00e9dicos e instituciones ser\u00e1 mucho m\u00e1s pr\u00e1ctica e inmediata, impactando en una mejor administraci\u00f3n del sistema, su ejecuci\u00f3n y sus costos. \u201cNo es indispensable hacer inversiones millonarias para implementar esta plataforma digital en los sistemas de salud\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Tapia-Conyer, ya que, si bien resta modificar algunas configuraciones de aplicaciones ya existentes, las plataformas ya est\u00e1n ah\u00ed, a disposici\u00f3n, esperando a ser incluidas de manera universal en las instituciones de salud p\u00fablica. El mundo se encuentra en pleno apogeo de la tecnolog\u00eda, el acceso a un smartphone o alg\u00fan otro dispositivo electr\u00f3nico facilita la experiencia del usuario actualizando la operatividad del software de manera inmediata, retroalimentando a los agentes a trav\u00e9s de dos v\u00edas simult\u00e1neas. Se requiere de una adaptaci\u00f3n amigable a la salud digital para que Am\u00e9rica Latina impulse pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas que conlleven al aprovechamiento de la red, pues solamente en pa\u00edses como Estados Unidos, Canad\u00e1, M\u00e9xico o Costa Rica, se presenta un uso del internet m\u00e1s activo y con otros fines enfocados en la educaci\u00f3n, salud, negocios o seguridad. La idea de implementar servicios en la nube dentro de los sistemas de salud es evolucionar y cambiar de forma positiva su manera de operar las relaciones entre usuarios y crear m\u00e1s opciones. Se pretende partir de alianzas con las instituciones privadas teniendo en mente homogeneizar el libre acceso e ir observando la reacci\u00f3n y comportamiento de los usuarios para ir adaptando el sistema.
