O'Higgins and Maule Health Services discussed issues focused on improving cancer-fighting treatments and detecting them to prevent the number of deaths in the country from increasing. The topics of teleradiology and other digital systems in the field of health were addressed.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Chile is worrying about increasing the level of health in its population by developing new options to fight cancer with alternative tools that can be managed digitally.<\/p>

The Assistance Network Management Division (DIGERA), of the Ministry of Health (MINSAL), collaborates with the different Health Services that correspond to each geographical area of the Chilean country, has set itself the goal of responding to the local needs of each community and, at the same time, covering regions with more extensive coverage.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Specifically, O'Higgins and Maule's health services decided to focus on the National Cancer Plan and in digital care advances for health problems such as teleradiology with the aim of strengthening epidemiological surveillance registration systems.<\/p>

Against this background, the application of ICTs in the field of health helps to order information flows, enabling timelier and quality care.<\/p>

About Teleradiology it can be said that it is possible to hasten and improve medical decision-making, shortening patient waiting times thanks to the sending of images and clinical data to a file and information system: the tele radiologist accesses the system, visualizes the study and performs the report.\nIn addition, it allows to make referrals with specialists from other hospitals so that both professionals have the same information available and can work without any margin of error.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The analyses of these radiological examinations will be done remotely at the Digital Hospital, allowing thousands of people to detect a tumor in time and for a top specialist to see the images that were generated to make an early diagnosis and prevent it from suffer severe complications in case of neoplasm. What is expected to be achieved is to reach people who, for economic or geographical reasons, simply do not have access just like others.<\/p>

Fernando Soto, director of the O'Higgins Health Service, said that the partnership with the Maule Health Service will be essential to develop more computer networks and thus improve people's health care and, most importantly, prevent the onset of cancer: what is the particular goal of both.<\/p>

Los Servicios de Salud de O\u2019Higgins y Maule discutieron temas enfocados a la mejora de los tratamientos para combatir c\u00e1ncer y su detecci\u00f3n temprana con el objetivo de evitar que la cantidad de muertes en el pa\u00eds chileno a causa de este padecimiento vaya en aumento. Se abordaron los temas de teleradiolog\u00eda y otros sistemas digitales en el \u00e1mbito de la salud. Chile se est\u00e1 preocupando por incrementar el nivel de salud en su poblaci\u00f3n al desarrollar nuevas opciones que permitan combatir el c\u00e1ncer con herramientas alternas que puedan manejarse de manera digital. La Divisi\u00f3n de Gesti\u00f3n de Redes Asistenciales (DIGERA) que corresponde al Ministerio de Salud (MINSAL) y trabaja en conjunto con los diferentes Servicios de Salud que corresponden a cada zona geogr\u00e1fica del pa\u00eds chileno, se ha puesto como meta el responder las necesidades locales de cada comunidad y, a la par, cubrir regiones con una cobertura m\u00e1s extensa. Particularmente, los servicios de salud de O\u2019Higgins y Maule decidieron enfocarse al Plan Nacional del C\u00e1ncer y a los avances en materia de atenci\u00f3n digital para los problemas de salud como la teleradiolog\u00eda con el objetivo de fortalecer los sistemas de registro vigilancia epidemiol\u00f3gica. Ante este contexto, la aplicaci\u00f3n de Tecnolog\u00edas de la Informaci\u00f3n y Comunicaci\u00f3n (TIC) en el \u00e1mbito de la salud ayuda a ordenar los flujos de informaci\u00f3n, lo que permite una atenci\u00f3n m\u00e1s oportuna y de calidad. En el caso de la Teleradiolog\u00eda, se permite apresurar y mejorar la toma de decisiones m\u00e9dicas, acortando los tiempos de espera de los pacientes gracias al env\u00edo de im\u00e1genes y datos cl\u00ednicos hacia un sistema de archivo e informaci\u00f3n: el teleradi\u00f3logo accede al sistema, visualiza el estudio y realiza el informe. Adem\u00e1s, le permite realizar interconsultas con especialistas de otros hospitales para que as\u00ed ambos profesionales tengan la misma informaci\u00f3n disponible y puedan trabajar sin ning\u00fan margen de error. Los an\u00e1lisis de esos ex\u00e1menes radiol\u00f3gicos se har\u00e1n a distancia en el Hospital Digital, permitiendo que miles de personas puedan detectar alg\u00fan tumor a tiempo y que un especialista de primer nivel pueda ver las im\u00e1genes que se generaron para realizar un diagn\u00f3stico temprano y evitar que se complique en caso de ser maligno. Lo que se espera lograr es llegar a las personas que, por motivos econ\u00f3micos o geogr\u00e1ficos, simplemente no tienen acceso al igual que otros y otras. Fernando Soto, director del Servicio de Salud O\u2019Higgins, expres\u00f3 que la alianza con el Servicio de Salud de Maule ser\u00e1 fundamental para desarrollar m\u00e1s redes inform\u00e1ticas y por ende, mejorar la atenci\u00f3n de salud de las personas y, lo m\u00e1s importante, prevenir la aparici\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer: lo que es objetivo particular de ambos. Por su parte el Jefe de la DIGERA, el Dr. Rub\u00e9n Gennero Riganti asegur\u00f3 que el \u201cdeber y la exigencia que tienen los ciudadanos pasa por realizar una gesti\u00f3n de excelencia en todos los establecimientos\u201d sin embargo, se tiene que \u201centender que esa excelencia tiene que ir dominada por preocuparnos en c\u00f3mo viven los procesos de enfermedad, no solamente los pacientes, sino que tambi\u00e9n sus familiares y todas las personas alrededor de nuestros usuarios, para que su paso por el sistema de salud sea el mejor posible y se pueda satisfacer sus expectativas que van mucho m\u00e1s por el buen trato, la empat\u00eda y una mirada mucho m\u00e1s humana a nuestro sistema de salud\u201d.
