This is Zeus Genomic File, a software developed by the Institute of Science and Genomic Medicine in Torreon, Coahuila. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The software consists in a digital file where all the information required is collected: medical history of the parents, history of diseases, pathologies, laboratory examinations, surgical interventions and of course the information genetics of the patient.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Also, systems have been developed that analyze the collected information in real time. The objective is to achieve a genomic digital record that detects the susceptibility of disease development, patient responses to medication and other particular genetic traits.<\/p>

The software is programmed to release data on the patient\u2019s diagnosis and treatment and also their reaction to the medicines. For example, if a patient suffers from a kidney malfunction, the algorithm, knowing their file detects a susceptibility to developing kidney failure, as well as analyzing how it help or affect the drugs they take.<\/p>

In this way, the database notifies the doctor of the data interpretation so their action when diagnosing or medicating is the correct choice or the most effective.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Dr. Gerardo Rafael Argoello Astorga, director of the Institute, noted that \"The technology used to analyze DNA has made impressive progress in recent years, so that now tests that give up to a million results or 30 million or billions of results can be done, which is beyond the intellectual capacity of the human, so the only way to analyze this is through software\u201d.<\/p>

One of the objectives of the Genomic File is to leave to technology the tasks in which humans can be exceeded and that a software can perform effectively and in less time in addition to reducing costs. As in this specific case where the interpretation and analysis of thousands of data was accelerated thanks to genomics research and their specialized software.<\/p>

The final product is ready for commercialization in public and private hospitals in Latin America and thus contribute to the prevention and treatment of diseases through a complete digital file.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Se trata de Zeus Expediente Gen\u00f3mico, software desarrollado por el Instituto de Ciencias y Medicina Gen\u00f3mica en Torre\u00f3n, Coahuila. El software consiste en un expediente en formato digital donde se recolecta toda la informaci\u00f3n requerida: antecedentes m\u00e9dicos de los padres, historial de enfermedades, patolog\u00edas, ex\u00e1menes de laboratorio, intervenciones quir\u00fargicas y por supuesto la informaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica del paciente. De igual forma, se han desarrollado sistemas que analizan en tiempo real toda la informaci\u00f3n recabada. El objetivo es lograr un expediente digital gen\u00f3mico que detecte las susceptibilidades de desarrollo de enfermedades, respuestas del paciente ante la medicaci\u00f3n y otros rasgos gen\u00e9ticos particulares. El software est\u00e1 programado a dar a conocer datos sobre el diagn\u00f3stico y tratamiento del paciente y su reacci\u00f3n a los medicamentos. Por ejemplo, si un paciente padece de un mal funcionamiento de los ri\u00f1ones, el algoritmo al conocer su expediente detecta una susceptibilidad a desarrollar insuficiencia renal adem\u00e1s analiza c\u00f3mo le ayudan o afectan los f\u00e1rmacos que toma. De esta forma, la base de datos avisa al m\u00e9dico de la interpretaci\u00f3n de los datos para que su accionar al diagnosticar o medicar sea el correcto o el m\u00e1s efectivo. El Dr. Gerardo Rafael Arg\u00fcello Astorga, director del Instituto, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que \u201cLa tecnolog\u00eda para analizar el ADN ha tenido un avance impresionante en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, de tal manera que ahora se pueden hacer pruebas que dan hasta un mill\u00f3n de resultados o 30 millones o miles de millones de resultados, lo que escapa a capacidad intelectual del humano, por lo que la \u00fanica forma de poder analizar esto es mediante software\u201d. Uno de los objetivos del Expediente Gen\u00f3mico es dejar en manos de la tecnolog\u00eda las tareas en las que el ser humano puede ser rebasado y que un software puede realizar de manera eficaz y en menor tiempo adem\u00e1s de reducir costos.  Como en este caso espec\u00edfico donde la interpretaci\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis de miles de datos se agiliz\u00f3 gracias a las investigaciones gen\u00f3micas y su software especializado. El producto final est\u00e1 listo para su comercializaci\u00f3n en hospitales p\u00fablicos y privados de Am\u00e9rica Latina y as\u00ed contribuir a la prevenci\u00f3n y tratamiento de enfermedades mediante un expediente digital completo.
