UK and US researchers, discovered that Google AI could improve the diagnosis of breast cancer. <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

This investigation published in Nature magazine, scientists showed that AI will be the perfect tool in the future in breast cancer diagnosis, disease that affects 1 of 20 women worldwide.<\/p>

The researchers team included ones from Imperial College London National Health Service and required the development o fan AI learning system developed with Google\u2019s DeepMind. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

To test the system 25,865 mammograms of women from the UK and 3,097 from the US, were collected. To apply the tests to Google\u2019s AI system, 500 cases were taken randomly to be interpreted by a group of six radiologists and by the \nAI system separately, and took the original assessments of the cases mentioned.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The results showed positive progress. The study suggests that the AI learning system is able to improve the diagnoses of the radiologists themselves, as the number of false positives was reduced by 5.7%in the US group and by 1.2% in the British group, regarding the analyses done by radiologist team. \u00a0<\/p>

Another condition in which the Google\u2019s system overpassed humans was on the false negative reduction in which it gained 9.4% and 2.7% in the UK and US respectively.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The conclusion they noted in the publication was that \u201cThis robust assessment of the AI system paves the way for clinical trials to improve the accuracy and efficiency of breast cancer screening.\u201d<\/p>

Investigadores del Reino Unido y Estados Unidos descubrieron que la Inteligencia Artificial (IA), de Google puede mejorar el diagn\u00f3stico de c\u00e1ncer de mama. En una investigaci\u00f3n publicada en la revista Nature, cient\u00edficos demostraron que la IA ser\u00e1 en el futuro la herramienta id\u00f3nea en el diagn\u00f3stico de c\u00e1ncer de mama, enfermedad que afecta a 1 de cada 20 mujeres a nivel mundial. El equipo incluy\u00f3 investigadores del Imperial College London y del Servicio Nacional de Salud de Reino Unido y requiri\u00f3 el desarrollo de un sistema de aprendizaje para la IA que se desarroll\u00f3 con DeepMind de Google.       Para probar el sistema, se recolectaron 25 mil 856 mamograf\u00edas de mujeres del Reino Unido y 3 mil 097 de Estados Unidos. Para aplicar las pruebas al sistema de IA de Google, se tomaron 500 casos de forma aleatoria para ser interpretadas por un grupo de seis radi\u00f3logos y por el sistema de IA de manera separada, adem\u00e1s tomaron en cuenta las evaluaciones originales de los casos mencionados. Los resultados mostraron avances positivos. El estudio sugiere que el sistema de aprendizaje de la IA es capaz de mejorar los diagn\u00f3sticos de los mismos radi\u00f3logos, ya que el n\u00famero de falsos positivos se redujo en 5.7% en el grupo estadounidense y en 1.2% en el grupo brit\u00e1nico con respecto a los an\u00e1lisis hechos por el equipo de radi\u00f3logos.   Otra de las variables en las que el sistema de Google super\u00f3 a los lectores humanos fue en la reducci\u00f3n de falsos negativos en la que obtuvo un 9.4% y 2.7% en Reino Unido y Estados Unidos respectivamente. La conclusi\u00f3n que se\u00f1alaron dentro de la publicaci\u00f3n fue que \u201cesta evaluaci\u00f3n robusta del sistema de IA prepara el camino para que los ensayos cl\u00ednicos mejoren la precisi\u00f3n y la eficiencia del cribado del c\u00e1ncer de mama\u201d. Y es que a pesar de que el estudio no incluy\u00f3 todas las tecnolog\u00edas de diagn\u00f3stico para esta enfermedad, abri\u00f3 una puerta para futuras investigaciones y aplicaciones de la IA en prevenci\u00f3n y detecci\u00f3n temprana de enfermedades.
